Let me GIVE YOU an Analogy:
An Apartment Complex (Satan’s World) IS ON FIRE, with Hundreds of Residents (Mankind). We AS Firefighters (Jesus Christ’s LIGHT) go from floor to floor, room to room, GETTING The Residents (Yet-To-Be-Believers) OUT of Harm’s Way (Satan), BY TELLING Them which DOOR (Jesus Christ) TO USE, TO GET TO SAFETY (Everlasting Life).
Now, unfortunately Some Residents (Unbelievers) Will REFUSE TO LISTEN, BUT WILL BELIEVE The LIE (Satan), that We are NOT Telling The TRUTH, THAT THERE IS NO FIRE. Sadly, THESE Residents Will PERISH IN The FIRE (The Second Death, The LAKE OF FIRE), and there is Absolutely NOTHING, We can do, TO CHANGE THIS. All We CAN DO is to WARN Them, BY Sharing The TRUTH, The Gospel OF Jesus Christ. It’s up to GOD Almighty, Himself, TO PUT UPON Their Hearts, The DESIRE TO HEAR, UNDERSTAND, AND ACCEPT The TRUTH!

These are the words we should be saying "Lord Send Me!"
We should be living life like, Paul, Luke, John, David, who battled a giant named Goliath, David slayed it.
These people were world changers, who preached the Word to strangers, even a crippled beggar, who in the name of Jesus walked by taking faith to greater heights.
Jesus light up our life ever so bright, by trusting in the death of the living Light.
Give us the integrity to love those in poverty in you Lord is complete sovereignty, Lord you bestow Serenity from the severity of a curse called iniquity.
We are called to change the world, this goes for every boy and girl. Lord light up our life through your sacrifice, show us what it means to be Bearers of Light, heal those who have no sight, teach us to do what is right, without starting a fight.
We are called to be world changers, it all started with a baby boy born in a manger.
People looked at Him like a mere man, little did they know He holds their life span in His glorious hand.
Died a horrendous death for you and I, in 3 days Jesus arose very high, from the grave, we have a savior that saves.
Jesus Christ who is God that came into existence by a holy birth, He showed us through his love on the Calvary how much we are worth. God is the definition of a world changer, just look what He has done in Holy scripture.
He fed the poor, gave sight to the blind, raised a man named Lazarus back to life. It saddens me to see how evil the people were back in this this day, Jesus shared the gospel out of pure love, why did these men fall astray.
Lord God you are our Beacon of Hope, through our afflictions you show us how to cope, Jesus your Word is sharper than any double edged sword that pierced our soul, by your resurrection is what makes us whole.
Father God show us how to be a world changer, to a lost and broken world who is in need of a Savior, by listening to God and loving the un loving we will be a World Changer.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAVID
Dear David,
Today you are finally once again a year older than me. I'm the "younger" woman once again. I look back over the past 28 years, 15 days and well, 1 hour right now (we didn't get pronounced husband and wife until 10:30 pm), and wonder how we made it. I'd been married and abandoned twice before that. I had 3 little kids. Our beginning wasn't perfect. As years went by, we went through something no parents should ever have to go through, we've seen our family devastated twice by suicides, we've been "victims" of a very corrupt system. By all odds, we shouldn't be together. Yet here we are.
When I married you, I made a decision that I know made the difference...I pledged my love to you on the altar of God. I promised to love and honor you. I promised you honesty and loyalty. Okay, one out of two ain't bad, lol. I wish I could say I've never lied but I can't. No marriage can survive complete honesty anymore. We should but things are different now. We've progressed to where honesty, loyalty, integrity and until death do us part has become until I find someone better. That breaks down honesty, loyalty and integrity right there.
After all we've endured, we are still together, had a lot of laughs at Medea tonight, and you had to put up with a wife who is NOT happy tonight! I have nothing to give you just like on our anniversary 15 days ago. So tonight, in front of God and my new family in Christ, I promise to love, honor and cherish you for the rest of my life. You are not perfect, you are perfect for me! I am convinced that my oath to God on His altar made the difference. It's why tonight instead of pouring the drink on your head, I kissed it instead. It's why I'll be here tomorrow, and 20 years if God allows us that much time. Come, grow old with me, the best is yet to be! I love you. I do, David, I do!

WHERE TO THE DEAD GO - SERMON OF THE DAY BY PASTOR ROBERT BREAKER
I think this is a question we all really want to know. What I have figured out on my own is regardless, it will either be instantaneous or will seem as if it is. I had a dream and it was just like going from one world into His, no death whatsoever. There was no death. I knew I "died" on earth but it was weird, I knew the answer to every question I ever had. I didn't get to meet with Him but He was there. We are connected. I distinctly remember everything that ever happened made sense, even children dying. It was PERFECT AND BEAUTIFUL. However, I was told I could only remember that I'll one day know but I couldn't retain that knowledge on earth because I simply couldn't grasp the truth. True? It seems scriptural to me! Let's see what Pastor Breaker has to say about it! God bless and spread the Word!

DEPLORABLE? OKAY. UNREDEEMABLE? I DON'T THINK SO!!!
I try to keep this blog unpolitical. I hate politics. By their very nature, it's dirty business. We all want a "Christian" president but will we get one? Should it matter? Yes, but God's will is going to be done. However, I believe we are unique. We aren't directly mentioned in the Bible. Maybe, just maybe, that's because we were created UNDER GOD and possibly it's up to us to choose HIM again. So maybe according to Hillary Clinton I am deplorable. I don't think so but unredeemable? God forbid! I have a book called The Holy Bible that tells me ALL of us, even her, are redeemable. So in answer, I made this tonight for fun. What do you guys think?

What is faith and where does it come from ? GOD's WORD has a great definition for faith in the book of Hebrews Chapter 1 vs.1& 2 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen. For by it (faith) the elders obtained a good testimony.
Without faith, in our everyday lives, we could not exist. Think about all the things that you just take for granted, everyday, that just work. You sit on human made chairs and by faith you plop down on them never giving it a thought that they may collapse under your weight. You drive over bridges, also man made, and never give it any thought that the bridge may collapse under your car. I'm not a person that likes heights. Now I have flown from PA to LA and back, in beautiful weather, and I was blessed to get the window seat during certain parts of the flight. My nose was glued to the window. I thought I would be afraid to be up that high, but the sun and the clouds were so beautiful, I couldn't take my eyes off of them. Coming home, I landed in Phila.at night and as we circled to land the first thing I thought of was that Phila.looked like a huge Christmas Tree from the air. The lights of the city from that height was breathtaking. But I have an awful fear of going up in a skyscraper, you know, one of those with the windows that go all the way from the floor to the ceiling. I can sit here, in my chair, and think about walking up to the window, with the toes of my shoes touching the window, and looking down I start to break out in a sweat and get dizzy, just thinking about it. So faith is a part of every ones daily life.

MY TESTIMONY
I want to share a story with you. I am worthless. I am a nobody. I have nothing to give. I'm a liar, thief, adultress, you name it. If it's part of His commandments, I'm sure in some way I've broken them all. I am a sinner. Why, Lord, why ME? I have nothing. I am nothing. All I have is an unshakable love for you. I met you 54 years ago and I fell in love with you. I gave you my heart at 6 but couldn't make if "official" until 12. I learned all I need to know from my grandmother. She wasn't well educated but she sure knew You. She couldn't tell me what many verses meant but she sure could make it simple. "Brenda, if you want to know if you're doing something wrong, ask yourself if Jesus came right that minute, would you be ashamed or proud of Him catching you doing that." Well, I didn't always do it BUT I always remembered it. I tried to pass that down to my children but well, I doubt they believe in You, Lord. That is my fault. But You heard my call and I heard You! I knew that voice. I hadn't heard it too many times but once is enough.
I weighed 80 lbs and couldn't walk. I was in a depression so deep and had fought...and lost...the biggest battle anyone should ever have to fight. To say our government is corrupt is an understatement. I tried to stay strong, Lord, I did. I had to for David's sake. I was all He had in this world. I managed to for 5 years but depression overtook me and I no longer cared. I just wanted to die so I rededicated my life to you, knowing I would die soon. I wouldn't eat. I lived on Xanax. I took as much as I could to never stay awake for more than an hour. I stared at the TV and felt nothing.
One day, I had to get up, no choice, and I heard a voice so clear I thought it was David. It said "Brenda! If you do not get out of that bed today and walk, you will die in that bed." I thought David told me that. It was THAT clear. He didn't say a word but someone did. It was not in my head. In fact, I could tell you exactly where You were standing. I KNEW YOUR VOICE. In fact, I couldn't walk to the bathroom but I believed You. I put on my shoes. I asked you how far and You said, it doesn't matter, walk. Remember, whoever reads this (if anyone does), I couldn't walk to the bathroom. I walked outside...not far but I knew it was far enough. Instantly, I felt different.
Two weeks later, I'd gained 20 plus pounds, was walking and out of my drug-induced "coma." I went to a church. I met a friend. And while ultimately, it wouldn't become my church as You had better plans, it was the beginning of an amazing journey! I wish it was pure bliss, no problems, no trials or tribulations. I wish I could say I've led many to You. I wish! I wish! I wish! I don't have to wish. I have You. I have prayer and prayer IS the most powerful tool we have. I may have forsaken you all those years but you never forgot the prayer of 6 year old me. You were always there. I heard you try to lead me back to You and I'm sorry I didn't listen. You wrote me a love letter and while I don't understand it all (GRACE - I DON'T HAVE TO), I know you love me, died for me, and saved me! I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I need reminders of that now and then!
Thank you, Christ Jesus! You've bless and chastise me, but I like that best. All good fathers disciple their children. I didn't have that growing up. I never felt loved. I never even had a father. Thank you for loving me! I love YOU too.

"Be reading in season and out of season" (2 Timothy 4:2)
Many of us suffer from the unbalanced tendency to "be ready" only "out of season." The season verse says, "Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season." In other words, we should "be ready" whether we feel like it or not. If we do only what we feel inclined to do, some of us would never do anything. There are some people who are totally unemployable in the spiritual realm. They are spiritually feeble and weak, and they refuse to do anything unless they are supernaturally inspired. The proof that our relationship is right with God is that we do our best whether we feel inspired or not.
One of the worst traps a Christian worker can fall into is to become obsessed with his own exceptional moments of inspiration. When the Spirit of God gives you a tie of inspiration and insight, you tend to say, "Now that I've experienced this moment, I will always be like this for God. No, you will not, and God will make sure of that. Those times are entirely the gift of God. You cannot give them to yoursef when you choose. If you say you will only be at your best for God, as during those exceptional times, you actually become an intolerable burden on Him. You will never do anything unless God keeps you consciously aware of His inspiration to you at all times. If you make a god out of your best moments, you will find that God will fade out of your life, never to return until you are obedient in the work He has placed closest to you, and until you have learned not to be obsessed with those exceptional moments He has given you.

Church Bloopers One...
1) Scouts are saving aluminum cans, bottles, and other items to be recycled. Proceeds will be used to cripple children.
2) The outreach committee has enlisted 25 visitors to make calls on people who are not afflicted with any church.
4) Evening massage - 6 p.m.
5) The Pastor would appreciate it if the ladies of the congregation would lend him their electric girdles for the pancake breakfast next Sunday morning.
6) The audience is asked to remain seated until the end of the recession.
7) Low Self-Esteem Support Group will meet Thursday at 7 to 8:30 p.m. Please use the back door.
8) Ushers will eat latecomers.
9) The third verse of Blessed Assurance will be sung without musical accomplishment.
10) For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery downstairs.
11) The Rev. Merriwether spoke briefly, much to the delight of the audience.
12) The pastor will preach his farewell message, after which the choir will sing, "Break Forth Into Joy."
13) During the absence of our pastor, we enjoyed the rare privilege of hearing a good sermon when J.F. Stubbs supplied our pulpit.
14) Next Sunday Mrs. Vinson will be soloist for the morning service. The pastor will then speak on "It's a Terrible Experience."
15) Due to the Rector's illness, Wednesday's healing services will be discontinued until further notice.

2) The music for today's service was all composed by George Friedrich Handel in celebration of the 300th anniversary of his birth.

4) The eighth-graders will be presenting Shakespeare's Hamlet in the church basement on Friday at 7 p.m. The congregation is invited to attend this tragedy.
5) The concert held in Fellowship Hall was a great success. Special thanks are due to the minister's daughter, who labored the whole evening at the piano, which as usual fell upon her.
6) 22 members were present at the church meeting held at the home of Mrs. Marsha Crutchfield last evening. Mrs. Crutchfield and Mrs. Rankin sang a duet, The Lord Knows Why.
7) A song fest was hell at the Methodist church Wednesday.
8) Today's Sermon: HOW MUCH CAN A MAN DRINK? with hymns from a full choir.
9) On a church bulletin during the minister's illness: GOD IS GOOD Dr. Hargreaves is better.

5) Weight Watchers will meet a 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. Please use large double door at the side entrance.
6) Jean will be leading a weight-management series Wednesday nights. She's use the program herself and has been growing like crazy!
7) The rosebud on the altar this morning is to announce the birth of David Alan Belzer, the sin of Rev. and Mrs. Julius Belzer.
8) This afternoon there will be a meeting in the South and North ends of the church. Children will be baptized at both ends.
9) Tuesday at 4:00 P.M. there will be an ice cream social. All ladies giving milk will please come early.
10) Wednesday the ladies liturgy will meet. Mrs. Johnson will sing "Put me in my little bed" accompanied by the pastor.
11) Thursday at 5:00 PM there will be a meeting of the Little Mother's Club. All ladies wishing to become "Little Mothers" will meet with the Pastor in his study.
12) This being Easter Sunday, we will ask Mrs. Lewis to come forward and lay an egg on the altar.
13) The service will close with "Little Drops of Water." One of the ladies will start quietly and the rest of the congregation will join in.

2) The ladies of the church have cast off clothing of every kind. They can be seen in the church basement Saturday.
3) Thursday night--Potluck supper. Prayer and medication to follow.
4) The Lutheran men's group will meet at 6 p.m. Steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread and dessert will be served for a nominal feel.
5) A bean supper will be held on Tuesday evening in the church hall. Music will follow.
6) 8 new choir robes are currently needed, due to the addition of several new members and to the deterioration of some older ones.
7) The senior choir invites any member of the congregation who enjoys sinning to join the choir.
8) At the evening service tonight, the sermon topic will be "What is Hell?" Come early and listen to our choir practice.
9) The preacher will preach his farewell message, after which the choir will sing, "Break Forth With Joy."
