MUSIC AND THE EMERGING CHURCH

This is a subject very near and dear to my heart as music has always been a big part of my life. I am very hopeful that I will be able to get a full-sized keyboard soon as I want to learn to play the piano.  In one way, at least to me, music proves God's existence.  As we know, the number 7 (seven) is a very prophetic and special number to God.  It means completion and perfection.  By the way, multiples of 7 are even more special and when you get 3 sevens, that's complete and perfect.

Let's take a look at how many times 7 shows up in God's Word and His creations.  Here's some examples but a few I don't exactly understand such as the first...

7 natural elements that are somehow special although I'm not sure exactly how
7 days of the week
7 years - the land is not to be worked but allowed to heal
7 years all debts were wiped out
7 generations from Adam to David; 7 years from David to someone, and then 7 years to              Christ Jesus
7 years of tribulation
7 colors of the rainbow
and.....
7 notes on the musical scale

Of course there are more but that's a good sampling.  So to me, music is one of the most amazing talents God has given man.  Styles of music change, some for the good, others not so much and as a teen in the 70s, I was raised in the rock and roll era.  I still enjoy some of the secular songs from back then and none are anti-God and, in fact, many actually uphold God. For example, the song "The Pusher" in the soundtrack of "Easy Rider" says G-D the Pusher.  Sounds very blasphemous but when listened to in the RIGHT context, the singer isn't using that as a curse word but is rather asking God to "damn" the pusher for the lives they ruin.  However, never one of the types of music I listened to.  I'll cover this issue later but many times we assume and especially when reading God's Word, we don't read or hear it in its proper context so what you think is being said, it's not in reality what's being said.  We don't have the luxury of knowing the "tone" of what is said and we misread it as love, anger, intolerance or in other destructive ways.  That's why we must take a lot into consideration when reading the Word such as who is talking, to whom are they speaking, where they are and whether or not it's Jesus Christ speaking.  What is He REALLY saying?  "Why do you call Me good?"  To the JW, Jesus is saying "I'm not good, only the Father" but we know, for instance, that what He may be saying in a very hopeful way, why are you calling me "good" and hoping he will say because you are God.  He's once again let down.  But let's move on to music.

When I rededicated my life to Christ Jesus and found a church, I expected to sing Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art, the gold and old hymns of worship and praise, so reverent and beautiful.  No, it was just like going to a rock concert and the church was filled to the rafters. They were more interested in entertaining me than teaching me the truth.  Jesus tells us that these false prophets will make merchandise of us  How many times have you watched a sermon video or music and then said...to hear the rest, for a donation of $150 or more.....

Freely given, freely give.  Now, at first I loved the contemporary sound and Hillsong's "I Surrender" was my new favorite.  I can even almost sign it in sign language.  If you're not familiar with them, do some research.  They sell you the wrong Gospel, the wrong Jesus Christ, you have to pay a lot of money to hear them and it's one of the types of new churches that grow with the times.  Many homosexuals in their ministry and tell US CHRISTIANS we need to get with the times.  Does the Bible not say God changes not?  So give me the old-fashioned hymns and the reverent worship.  I don't want light shows and entertainment, I was conviction, to learn and grow in His Word.  I will not pay you to lie to me.  Tickling ears, the "in" thing to do.

Should we be listening to this new music to worship Almighty God?   I use to think what difference does it make but I found out, it makes a lot.  Revere the Holiest of Holies.  Be reverent and give Him glory and honor.  If you want to go be entertained and really hear the TRUTH about Christ Jesus's message, go see Trans-Siberian Orchestra.  They tour all year, don't call themselves anything but it is entirely Christ-centered and their question is, why do we treat others so good on December 25th when Jesus said to treat them well EVERY SINGLE DAY.  Let's go back to revering Him and I bet the Church will be blessed.  While I don't think it's a "sin" to listen to their music, I'd be very careful about helping to spread a false Gospel. Just think about it.

NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES, TRUE OR FALSE? VIDEO BY PASTOR TIM CONWAY

Do you believe in NDEs and/or OBEs that they are really taken to Heaven by our Lord God and Savior, Christ Jesus?  I've heard many accounts and the vast majority do not line up with the Word of God.   Now, I do believe we have very vivid dreams and of course He can use our dreams to try to draw us closer to Him but use discernment and always remember that even satan transforms himself into an angel of light.  Use discernment, listen to what this man has to say and decide if it's truly Biblical or not.  Read the Apostle Paul's account of being taken into the 3rd Heaven (he was so humbled he only spoke in the 3rd person) and read where he said that what he heard, man was not permitted to hear.  I hear that people see a light, hear voices and see dead relatives.  Is that scriptural?  If not, I'd be very wary.  The only thing I want to say is that I do believe God will use dreams and/or real life experiences to try to draw us to Him.  I honestly don't believe that these accounts are real events.  We "feel" like they are as they "feel" so real as my dream of flying did (I thought God blessed me with a wonderful dream) but it wasn't Spiritual.  However, after a view very vivid dreams that terrified me, I did draw closer to Him.  However, I was well aware of the difference between reality and a dream.  Stop relying on how you "feel" and instead get grounded in the Word of God and let the Holy Spirit convict you of sins.  If you are not a believer or saved, you should NEVER "feel good" after hearing the Gospel spread in TRUTH.  In fact, you should feel convicted of your sins, know what a wretched sinner you are (no matter how good you THINK you are as we are ALL evil) and that is why we need a our Savior and God, Jesus Christ, to reconcile us with the Father and to enter the Kingdom of God.  John 3:16-17 says it all.  LEARN TO DISCERN!  God bless.

The Sinner's Prayer is not Biblical

God's Plan of Salvation by grace through faith is in the atoning work on the Cross alone.  We cannot work, earn or buy our way in.  The TRUE way to be saved is in First Corinthians 15:1-11.  You MUST believe in the RIGHT Gospel and the RIGHT Christ Jesus!

To Learn More About the Debilitating Effects of Someone With Spina Bifida

Please pray for a man who works with my husband.  He is fine now and out of the hospital but he had a bad accident.  He works strictly to make barely enough to pay for medical insurance.  It cannot lapse because these parents are to be admired.  They chose NOT to abort their baby daughter even though she has spina bifida.  It's incurable and most never walk, can control their physical private needs and will be in diapers their entire life.  They will never be able to live alone and will require their parents to make a life-long commitment to taking care of even the most basic of needs, such as getting dressed, eating, making sure their muscles are exercised regularly so their muscles don't atrophy and while most don't grow into normal sized adults, they do grow up.  I'm not well versed in this birth defect but I believe it effects the child's brain but to what degree, I don't know.  There are varying degrees with the mild form not really causing any problems and live a normal life.  However, this child has the most severe form and it does affect the brain.  To learn more, please visit the link at the bottom of the above picture on this page.  Because of the mess our medical insurance is in today, with almost all insurance companies using the "pre-existing" clause to get out of having to pay (says  a lot about us, doesn't it?) if he misses ONE payment, his policy is cancelled and although he can get it back, because it lapsed, his daughter will not have any coverage in regards to any physical issues that they can find a way to relate to her "pre-existing" condition of spina bifida.  While the company gives it's employees a living wage, they have no control over this nor can they control the cost.  His insurance is a minimum of $800 but probably more around $1200/month since he has the family plan but if David and I bought it, it's $800 minimum for just the employee and spouse and doesn't include your children.  You either have to buy a family plan (if still a viable option) or add each child individually.  He makes roughly the same amount my husband does and so some paydays (paid 2 x month), his take home pay may be less than $100 to $200.  He had to be out of work for a week and since he couldn't make commission sales, he may not have made enough to pay his premium which would be a disaster for his daughter and family.  To work hard 40 plus hours a week, just to insure your sick child, really upsets me.  I have no insurance and I truly believe it is by God's grace and protection that I've got a doctor to make sure I have my medicines I need to live and it's only $95 every 2 months.  However, you get what you pay for.  I've found a much better doctor for the same amount and David is covered by the VA.  A collection was taken and because of the generosity of the employees, a minimum of $1200 was collected PLUS he still gets his sick time pay.  So, he can not only for once pay the premium but will have a surplus of money.  He may work a 2nd job, get government help and I think his wife also works but you have to take into consideration how much daycare will cost and probably have to hire at the least, a certified nurse's aide," because most daycares won't accept children with this condition.  Too much work, worried about lawsuits, don't want to be bothered is a huge problem.  I pray they have help.  Please pray for this family that God works through our POTUS to make healthcare cheap, unlimiting and as I heard people will be charged a flat tax based on how much they make.  We will probably have to pay around $25 to $50 each year based on our income but the higher your income, the more you have to pay to ensure that every pre-existing conditions are 100% covered and everyone will have quality health insurance.  These parents chose LIFE and NOT abortion and it feels they're being punished for making an awesome choice that HER LIFE MATTERS AND HAS A PURPOSE.  They gave up a lot of their hopes and dreams so she could be born.  I'm sure the pro-choicers call them ignorant, uncaring, how dare they bring an imperfect child into the world because it will be a drain on our resources.  BTW, Down's Syndrome is down by 90%.  Sounds awesome until you learn why.  They're murdered by people who swore an oath to "first, do no harm."  Down's Syndrome children are "down" by 90% not because of a cure but because 90% of them are aborted.  Either ALL lives matter or none matters.  Please pray for "SB Family" and also that the problems existing today are fixed and we can once again afford insurance and the best care available, regardless of who you are, what you earn and stop punishing those who choose to do what is not only right ethically but also by the Law of God!    Pray that donations continue for a few more paydays.  Also pray for those whose "god" is money come to know that giving to those less fortunate is one of the greatest blessings and when you bless others without expecting accolades or honors, without boasting and doing it solely because it's right come to see this most basic Biblical principle.  We all must always be aware that everything we have can be lost in an hour.  Our treasures stored in Heaven cannot be taken away and don't ever give expecting to "feel good" about it.  That's self-serving and we must sacrifice or give up something important to us because anyone will give someone something they don't want.  True sacrifice isn't made to make you "feel good."  Maybe it's supposed to hurt and that's when you KNOW it was righteousness.

I am trying to start a "ministry" to help feed the hungry and homeless in my area with both physical and Spiritual bread and living water.  I'm also hoping to create a Disciple's Gathering Place to gather together, as the Apostles did on the Lord's Day (Sunday) which is when believers only come together to prepare us to go OUT into the world to share the Gospel of Salvation according to Jesus Christ in First Corinthians 15:1-11; Ephesians 2:8-9; and John 3:16 in my home or the park; and third, to start a faith-based support group for people who struggle with addictions.  Remember that physical addiction can happen to anyone.  Many people cannot live or have a quality of life without narcotic pain medications and even marijuana, which God created, was called "good."  It has healing properties but just as I'm opposed to drinking regularly, I am also against anyone who abuses or misuses their prescribed medications.  We are a unique group and only if you yourself struggle or have with any addiction can truly understand.  So I ask for your prayer that God provides me a way to accomplish my goals as in everything I do, be it Spiritual or life stuff, I want to bring glory and honor to Him alone.

Remember our unknown brethern in the Body of Christ and pray for strength.  Pray for the needy and the most vulnerable of us...the unborn.  Be their voice.  Pray for your enemies, love them and do good to them as Jesus Christ commanded.  Also pray for a HUGE outpouring of the Holy Spirit and that those unsaved in truth, deceived or believe (or so they claim) to believe in nothing.  Be it God or man, everyone has faith and belief in someone so atheism is a faith-based "religion" in its own right...it has faith and belief that fallen man has the answers. God created science so I believe science proves the existence of God, it is just hidden.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to teach and lead them into TRUTH.  As always, you are constantly in my prayers and I ask for yours.  God bless you all.

Rom.5:
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Prepared For "WHATEVER" God permits along our way!

1 Thess.1:
10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

We are spiritually prepared for it. First and foremost we have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and by His grace through faith God blessed us to receive, we have eternal life.

John 3:
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

THE WAY WE ARE ON

Romans 10:
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

NO SIN WILL DEFEAT OUR SURE HOPE

Only through Him can we receive forgiveness of sin and have eternity with God. God is our Father, there’s nothing to worry about.

Luke 12:
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

WE LIVE THRU HIM FOR HIS GLORY

Living IN the power of the Holy Spirit we received immediately upon belief in Jesus we live a life worthy of the calling we have in Christ being "filled" by Him daily.This means having no sin not confessed

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

WE WALK THE TALK

Ephesians 4:
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.


We are told what will happen in the end.

1 Thess. 4:
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

LOOKING FOR OUR BLESSED HOPE: CHRIST COMING FOR US TO TAKE US HOME

Rather than fear the future, we are called to anticipate the future with joy. Why? In Christ, we will be “caught up” to meet Him and we “will always be with the Lord.”

NOT UNDER HIS WRATH
Scripture says we do not need to fear Judgment Day:

1 John 4:
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear hath torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.

WE MAY SUFFER

Even if our future holds suffering, we need not fear. Suffering is not to be feared; it is a blessing when it is borne for the name of Jesus.

1 Peter 3:
14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;

OUR TIME HERE IS PRECIOUS! (THE GOSPEL SHARED AND BELIEVED THE ONLY WAY TO LIFE NOW AND FOREVERMORE)

JUDGMENT MARCHES ON OVER AMERICA

What a fall America is going through! For several years beginning on You Tube I have pleaded for this nation to repent as have many of you, beloved's..

I am convinced God has been ever so slow removing His restraint over EVIL, by the Holy Spirit through the body of the FAITHFUL here, on the mighty demon of Satan's army that presides over America such as the one that we know of in Daniel who fought with Gabriel sent by God to answer Daniels prayer for clarification on a dream God gave him.

The arch angel (most powerful of angels) Michael, had to be sent to take up the fight so the arch angel Gabriel could get the revelation to Daniel and comfort him in his ministry. (This demon obviously had great evil power!)

Dan.10:
10 And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.

11 And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.


THIS IS OUR TIME TO SERVE!

Beloved's, it's ALWAYS THE TIME TO WARN THE LOST judgment IS upon this world and certainly our nation and the only remedy for each of us is to believe the Gospel, be "born again", and have the sure hope BY HIS FAITH that no matter WHAT GOES DOWN (and much has and much more coming!) THOSE WHO ARE SAVED:

WILL LIVE NOW IN HIS PEACE AND THROUGH JESUS CHRIST WITH GOD OUR FATHER AND THE FAMILY OF GOD FOREVERMORE. John 3:16-17

WE WHO ARE HIS BRIDE AWAIT

The coming of our Lord to call us up
In Him we occupy till He comes.
In Him we minister
In Him we share the Glorious Gospel of Grace
In Him there is real prosperity and a sure hope.

NO SATANIC OPPOSITION WILL SILENCE US

We will serve the Lord! And if, at a predetermined divide God knows, one road to perdition is imposed upon us by any law, government threat, funny money, anything that denies our Lord and Savior and tries to impose it's will on us, then the truth of Christ which is spiritually determined, and leads to a sure Home that is not built by human hands, but by our Lord God and Savior, we will choose;

"Be wise now, therefore. O you kings: be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they who put their trust in him." Psalm 2:10-12.

HEBREW WORD OF THE DAY

Today's word(s) are Child Support....

I realize that this probably deals with mothers/fathers paying child support after a divorce but rather than tear down the family unit (although if this is your reality, you should gladly pay your child support money).  However, I believe "child support" can mean something else.  Children need parents, not friends.  They need to supported and encouraged, not torn down.  Whenever they want to do "good" it our moral and ethical duty to do all we can to help them succeed and if they fail, to help them shake it off and find something else good to do for the betterment of others and give our children whatever support they need.  That includes the PROPER discipline.  I am not much for spanking children but nor do I think a swat or two that leaves no marks to save their life especially is a bad thing.  Support your children and I bet they amaze you!  God bless you all.
