I came across this series on Bible.org and while I can't say what he says is 100% infallible because no man is, but he makes incredible sense of God's Word and backs everything up with scripture. Is he interpreting it right? I can't say because I am not a Biblical scholar but the bickering about the age of the earth, whether science disproves/proves God's existence, is answered here. IF you'll read this first well-written, Biblical article and you're gonna see something amazing. I'll give you a hint. It has to do with was the earth created in 6 literal days? Yes...but! Next, Einstein's theory of relativity that if we were able to break the speed of light that when we left earth and came back, 1000 years would have passed even though it would seem like normal time has passed for you upholds what God says that 1000 years is but a day and a day is like a thousand years. Some may say you can't mix science and God but what if science PROVES God and that the Bible IS infallible and inerrant but our interpretation of "it is written" may be wrong? For the record, I'm not a fan of science as a general rule. However, today many strong scientists who were rabid atheists are now believers not only in an Intelligent Creator but God Almighty and His ETERNAL SON, Christ Jesus.
I can't dictate your belief system and if you want to remain dogmatic in that the earth is only 6,000 years old and created in 6 literal days, that's fine. It's not a salvation issue but it could hinder the Gospel. Why? Too many people now put their "faith" in the "god of science and man" and unless we show them how that science AND the Bible harmonize completely with what we know today, most are not going to listen. It's not going to work in today's world. We are a lost, deceived generation and I fear given over to a reprobate mind. So I'm not asking you to believe this, just read it (although there's a few things I question) but this world was given to the evil one. If you read on, Jesus Christ's conception is undeniable and explains WHY He had to be born of a virgin and NOT a man. Of course the main reason is He is God's Son but why Mary and not some other virgin? Did God force her to bear His Child? Again, just read and take from it what you will. Use discernment but have your Bible handy and always be open to the TRUTH, no matter what your preconceived ideas are. This in no way waters your theology down but rather reinforces them. There's a lot of secular (not inspired writing and/or not Spiritual in nature but NOT a bad or offensive term) writings and facts we aren't privy to, such as a letter written to Caesar after the crucifixion of Christ where he admits, albeit unwillingly, that he believes Jesus is the Son of God. We Christians tend to only go by the Bible and we do well but to really help others believe and accept Jesus as their Savior, we may need to change our ways and this in NO WAY waters down the Word of God but upholds it in very clear ways. God bless and I pray you take the time to read this series. Don't do it in one sitting though. Let it sink in, pray about it and test it. The Gospel and the Bible is written for us today as in every other generation. Now we have proof. Click on the link below to read this wonderful series.
