Our Father And Our High Priest
Matthew 23:9
Do NOT Call ANYONE ON Earth Your father; For ONE IS Your (Believers) Father, He (GOD Almighty) Who IS IN Heaven.
Hebrews 3:1-2a
Therefore, Holy Brethren (Believers), PARTAKERS OF The Heavenly CALLING, Consider The Apostle AND High Priest OF Our Confession, Christ Jesus, Who WAS FAITHFUL TO Him (GOD Almighty) Who APPOINTED Him (Jesus Christ).
Hebrews 4:14-16
SEEING then, that We (Believers) Have A Great High Priest, Who Has PASSED THROUGH The Heavens, Jesus, The SON OF GOD, Let Us HOLD FAST Our Confession. For We Do NOT Have A High Priest Who Can NOT Sympathize WITH Our Weaknesses, BUT WAS IN All Points TEMPTED, AS We ARE, Yet WITHOUT sin. Let Us therefore COME BOLDLY TO The Throne OF GRACE, that We May OBTAIN MERCY and FIND GRACE, TO Help IN Time of Need.
Hebrews 5:5-10
So also Christ did NOT GLORIFY Himself TO BECOME High Priest, BUT IT WAS He (GOD Almighty) Who SAID TO Him (Jesus Christ): “YOU ARE My SON, Today I Have BEGOTTEN YOU.” As He (GOD Almighty) also says in another place: “YOU ARE A Priest Forever, According TO The Order OF Melchizedek”; Who, IN The Days OF His (Jesus Christ’s) Flesh (The Natural Body), When He Had OFFERED UP Prayers and Supplications, WITH Vehement Cries and Tears TO Him (GOD Almighty) Who WAS ABLE TO SAVE Him FROM Death, and Was Heard Because OF His GODLY FEAR, Though He WAS A Son, YET He Learned Obedience BY The Things which He Suffered. And having been PERFECTED, He BECAME The Author OF Eternal Salvation TO All (Believers) Who OBEY Him, CALLED BY GOD AS High Priest “According TO The Order OF Melchizedek.”
Hebrews 6:19-20
THIS HOPE We (Believers) have as an Anchor OF The Soul, both sure and steadfast, and which ENTERS The Presence BEHIND The Veil, where The Forerunner HAS ENTERED for Us, EVEN Jesus, HAVING BECOME High Priest Forever According TO The Order OF Melchizedek.
Hebrews 7:1-3, 15-19, 22, 24-28
For THIS Melchizedek, King OF Salem, Priest OF The Most High GOD, Who MET Abraham returning from The Slaughter of The Kings and BLESSED Him (Abraham), TO Whom also Abraham GAVE A Tenth Part of All, first being translated “King OF Righteousness,” and then also King OF Salem, meaning “King OF PEACE,” WITHOUT Father, WITHOUT Mother, WITHOUT Genealogy, Having NEITHER Beginning of Days NOR End OF Life, BUT MADE LIKE The SON OF GOD, REMAINS A Priest Continually.
And it is yet far more evident if, IN The Likeness of Melchizedek, there ARISES Another Priest Who HAS COME, NOT according to The Law of a Fleshly Commandment (The Old Covenant), BUT According TO The Power OF AN ENDLESS LIFE. For He (GOD Almighty) TESTIFIES: “YOU ARE A Priest Forever According TO The Order OF Melchizedek.” For ON The One Hand there is an ANNULLING of The Former Commandment (The Old Covenant), because of its weakness and unprofitableness, for The Law made nothing perfect; ON The Other Hand, there is The BRINGING IN OF A Better HOPE, THROUGH Which We (Believers) DRAW NEAR TO GOD.
By so much more, Jesus Has BECOME A SURETY OF A Better Covenant. But He, because He CONTINUES FOREVER, has an UNCHANGEABLE Priesthood. Therefore, He (Jesus Christ) is also ABLE TO SAVE TO The Uttermost, Those (Believers) Who COME TO GOD THROUGH Him, Since He ALWAYS LIVES TO MAKE INTERCESSION FOR Them (Believers). For SUCH A High Priest Was Fitting For Us (Believers), Who IS HOLY, Harmless, Undefiled, SEPARATE FROM sinners, AND Has Become HIGHER Than The Heavens; Who does NOT need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, FIRST for His Own sins and THEN for The People’s, FOR THIS He (Jesus Christ) DID ONCE For All, When He OFFERED UP Himself. For The Law (The Old Covenant) appoints as high priests Men who have weakness, BUT The WORD OF The OATH (The New Covenant), Which CAME AFTER The Law, APPOINTS The SON, Who HAS BEEN PERFECTED Forever.
Hebrews 8:1-2, 6, 10-13a
Now, THIS IS The Main Point of the things We ARE SAYING: We (Believers) have such A High Priest, Who IS SEATED AT The Right Hand OF The THRONE OF The Majesty IN The Heavens, A Minister OF The Sanctuary AND OF The TRUE Tabernacle, Which The LORD (GOD Almighty) ERECTED, and NOT Man. But Now, He (Jesus Christ) has OBTAINED A More Excellent Ministry, inasmuch as He IS ALSO Mediator OF A Better Covenant (The New Covenant), Which WAS ESTABLISHED ON Better Promises.
For THIS IS The Covenant that I Will MAKE WITH The House of Israel AFTER Those Days, SAYS The LORD (GOD Almighty): I Will PUT My Laws IN Their Mind and WRITE Them ON Their Hearts; and I Will BE Their GOD, and They Shall BE My People. NONE of Them Shall TEACH His Neighbor, and NONE His Brother, saying, ‘KNOW The LORD,’ for All Shall KNOW Me, FROM The Least of Them TO The Greatest of Them. For I Will BE MERCIFUL TO Their Unrighteousness, AND Their sins AND Their lawless deeds, I Will Remember NO MORE.” IN THAT He (GOD Almighty) SAYS, “A New Covenant,” He Has MADE The First OBSOLETE.
Hebrews 9:11-12, 14-15, 24, 26b, 28
But Christ CAME AS High Priest OF The Good Things TO COME, WITH The Greater and More PERFECT Tabernacle NOT made with hands, that is, NOT OF THIS Creation. NOT with the blood of goats and calves, BUT WITH His (Jesus Christ’s) Own BLOOD, He ENTERED The Most Holy Place, ONCE For All, Having OBTAINED Eternal Redemption. How much more shall The BLOOD OF Christ, Who THROUGH The Eternal Spirit OFFERED Himself, WITHOUT SPOT TO GOD, CLEANSE Your (Believers) Conscience FROM dead works TO SERVE The LIVING GOD? And for THIS REASON, He IS The Mediator OF The New Covenant, BY MEANS OF Death, FOR The Redemption OF The Transgressions UNDER The First Covenant, that Those (Believers) Who ARE CALLED May RECEIVE The Promise OF The Eternal Inheritance.
For Christ has NOT Entered The Holy Places MADE with hands, which are copies of The TRUE, BUT INTO Heaven Itself, Now TO APPEAR IN The Presence OF GOD FOR Us (Believers). But now, ONCE AT The END OF The AGES, He has APPEARED TO PUT AWAY sin, BY The SACRIFICE OF Himself. So Christ WAS OFFERED ONCE, TO BEAR the sins of many. To Those (Believers) Who EAGERLY WAIT FOR Him (Jesus Christ), He Will APPEAR A Second Time, apart from sin, FOR SALVATION.
Hebrews 10:19-23, 35-36, 39
Therefore, Brethren (Believers), Having Boldness TO ENTER The Holiest BY The BLOOD OF Jesus, BY A New and Living Way, Which He CONSECRATED For Us, THROUGH The Veil, that is, His Flesh, and having A High Priest OVER The HOUSE OF GOD, Let Us Draw Near WITH A TRUE Heart IN Full Assurance OF Faith, Having Our Hearts SPRINKLED from an evil conscience and Our Bodies WASHED WITH PURE WATER. Let Us HOLD FAST The Confession OF Our Hope WITHOUT Wavering, For He Who Promised IS Faithful. Therefore, Do NOT Cast Away Your Confidence, Which Has Great REWARD. For YOU (Believers) have need of ENDURANCE, so that AFTER YOU Have DONE The WILL OF GOD, YOU May RECEIVE The PROMISE. But We (Believers) are NOT of Those (Unbelievers) who draw back to Perdition, BUT OF Those Who BELIEVE TO The SAVING OF The Soul.
Hebrews 11:1, 3
Now, Faith IS The SUBSTANCE OF Things Hoped For, The EVIDENCE OF Things NOT SEEN. BY Faith We UNDERSTAND that The Worlds were framed BY The WORD OF GOD, so that the things, Which ARE SEEN, were NOT made of things which are visible.
Hebrews 12:1-2
Therefore We (Believers) ALSO, Since We ARE SURROUNDED BY SO Great A Cloud OF Witnesses, let Us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares Us, and let Us RUN WITH ENDURANCE The RACE that is SET BEFORE Us, LOOKING UNTO Jesus, The Author and Finisher OF Our Faith, Who for The JOY that was SET BEFORE Him ENDURED The Cross, Despising the shame, and has SAT DOWN AT The Right Hand OF The THRONE OF GOD.
Hebrews 13:2, 5b-6, 8, 14-16, 20-21
Do NOT Forget TO ENTERTAIN Strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly ENTERTAINED Angels (GOD Almighty’s Holy Angels). For He (Jesus Christ) Himself HAS SAID, “I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.” So We (Believers) May BOLDLY SAY: “The LORD IS My Helper; I Will NOT Fear. What can Man do to me?” Jesus Christ IS The SAME Yesterday, Today, and Forever. For HERE (This World) We have NO Continuing City, BUT We SEEK The ONE (The New Holy City, New Jerusalem) TO COME. Therefore, BY Him, Let Us Continually OFFER The Sacrifice OF PRAISE TO GOD, THAT IS, The FRUIT OF Our Lips, GIVING THANKS TO His Name. But do NOT forget to DO GOOD and TO Share, For WITH Such Sacrifices GOD IS Well PLEASED.
Now, May The GOD OF PEACE, Who BROUGHT UP Our LORD Jesus FROM The Dead, that Great Shepherd OF The Sheep, THROUGH The BLOOD OF The EVERLASTING Covenant, Make YOU Complete IN EVERY Good Work TO DO His WILL, WORKING IN YOU, What IS Well PLEASING IN His SIGHT, THROUGH Jesus Christ, TO Whom BE GLORY Forever and ever. Amen.
