WHAT IS LORDSHIP SALVATION?

Lordship salvation is yet another man-made term to describe salvation.  Jesus IS the Lord of my life and I try to do His commandments but fail but when I do, the Apostle Paul told me I have one mediator to God and that is the Man Jesus Christ who died to save me from my sins.  I'm sola scriptura, faith/grace/Christ alone salvation but the truly saved will obey His commandments by the POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND NOT OF THEMSELVES.

If we have to work to aid in salvation, no one is going to make it.  We all deserve hell. He came to save sinners, not the righteous.  I am a sinner in much need of a Savior.  He is the Lord of my life and I trust in Him alone for my salvation.  If you want to call me a Lordship Salvation believer, I accept that label.  It's that are the other man-made label of "Easy Believism" in which I posted a very good video by Robert Breaker about it.  I do not agree with him on some of his teachings but his doctrine is sound.  On this, I agree 100% so watch the video as you need to be aware of these terms, what they mean or rather what they don't mean.  They are basically undefined and left up to the individual on what it means.  That is extremely dangerous.  So what IS Lordship Salvation?  The below commentary comes from Got Questions of which I will leave a link.  You can find good, solid Biblical answers to almost any question you can ask.  It's Bible-based only and has no denominational affiliations.  Great site.  Be familiar with these terms because they're becoming a thorn in the side of the Church.  We need more unity, not more division.  One voice; one accord please!

Question: "What is lordship salvation?"

Answer:
The doctrine of lordship salvation teaches that submitting to Christ as Lord goes hand-in-hand with trusting in Christ as Savior. Lordship salvation is the opposite of what is sometimes called easy-believism or the teaching that salvation comes through an acknowledgement of a certain set of facts.

John MacArthur, whose book The Gospel According to Jesus lays out the case for lordship salvation, summarizes the teaching this way: “The gospel call to faith presupposes that sinners must repent of their sin and yield to Christ’s authority.” In other words, a sinner who refuses to repent is not saved, for he cannot cling to his sin and the Savior at the same time. And a sinner who rejects Christ’s authority in his life does not have saving faith, for true faith encompasses a surrender to God. Thus, the gospel requires more than making an intellectual decision or mouthing a prayer; the gospel message is a call to discipleship. The sheep will follow their Shepherd in submissive obedience.

Advocates of lordship salvation point to Jesus’ repeated warnings to the religious hypocrites of His day as proof that simply agreeing to spiritual facts does not save a person. There must be a heart change. Jesus emphasized the high cost of discipleship: “Whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14:27), and “Those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples” (verse 32). In the same passage, Jesus speaks of counting the cost; elsewhere, He stresses total commitment: “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62).

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says that eternal life is a narrow path found by “only a few” (Matthew 7:14); in contrast, easy-believism seeks to broaden the path so that anyone who has a profession of faith can enter. Jesus says that “every good tree bears good fruit” (verse 17); in contrast, easy-believism says that a tree can still be good and bear nothing but bad fruit. Jesus says that many who say “Lord, Lord” will not enter the kingdom (verses 21–23); in contrast, easy-believism teaches that saying “Lord, Lord” is good enough.

Lordship salvation teaches that a true profession of faith will be backed up by evidence of faith. If a person is truly following the Lord, then he or she will obey the Lord’s instructions. A person who is living in willful, unrepentant sin has obviously not chosen to follow Christ, because Christ calls us out of sin and into righteousness. Indeed, the Bible clearly teaches that faith in Christ will result in a changed life (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 5:22–23; James 2:14–26).

Lordship salvation is not a salvation-by-works doctrine. Advocates of lordship salvation are careful to say that salvation is by grace alone, that believers are saved before their faith ever produces any good works, and that Christians can and do sin. However, true salvation will inevitably lead to a changed life. The saved will be dedicated to their Savior. A true Christian will not feel comfortable living in unconfessed, unforsaken sin.

Here are nine teachings that set lordship salvation apart from easy-believism:

1) Repentance is not a simple synonym for faith. Scripture teaches that sinners must exercise faith in conjunction with repentance (Acts 2:38; 17:30; 20:21; 2 Peter 3:9). Repentance is a change of mind from embrace of sin and rejection of Christ to a rejection of sin and an embrace of Christ (Acts 3:19; Luke 24:47), and even this is a gift of God (2 Timothy 2:25). Genuine repentance, which comes when a person submits to the lordship of Christ, cannot help but result in a change of behavior (Luke 3:8; Acts 26:18–20).

2) A Christian is a new creation and cannot just “stop believing” and lose salvation. Faith itself is a gift of God (Ephesians 2:1–5, 8), and real faith endures forever (Philippians 1:6). Salvation is all God’s work, not man’s. Those who believe in Christ as Lord are saved apart from any effort of their own (Titus 3:5).

3) The object of faith is Christ Himself, not a promise, a prayer, or a creed (John 3:16). Faith must involve a personal commitment to Christ (2 Corinthians 5:15). It is more than being convinced of the truth of the gospel; it is a forsaking of this world and a following of the Master. The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27).

4) True faith always produces a changed life (2 Corinthians 5:17). The inner person is transformed by the Holy Spirit (Galatians 2:20), and the Christian has new nature (Romans 6:6). Those with genuine faith—those who are submitted to the lordship of Christ—follow Jesus (John 10:27), love their brothers (1 John 3:14), obey God’s commandments (1 John 2:3; John 15:14), do the will of God (Matthew 12:50), abide in God’s Word (John 8:31), keep God’s Word (John 17:6), do good works (Ephesians 2:10), and continue in the faith (Colossians 1:21–23; Hebrews 3:14). Salvation is not adding Jesus to the pantheon GOT QUESTIONS? CLICK HERE FOR ANSWERS!of one’s idols; it is a wholesale destruction of the idols with Jesus reigning supreme.

5) God’s “divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life” (2 Peter 1:3; cf. Romans 8:32). Salvation, then, is not just a ticket to heaven. It is the means by which we are sanctified (practically) in this life and by which we grow in grace.

6) Scripture teaches that Jesus is Lord of all. Christ demands unconditional surrender to His will (Romans 6:17–18; 10:9–10). Those who live in rebellion to God’s will do not have eternal life, for “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble” (James 4:6).

7) Those who truly believe in Christ will love Him (1 Peter 1:8–9; Romans 8:28–30; 1 Corinthians 16:22). And those we love we long to please (John 14:15, 23).

8) Scripture teaches that behavior is an important test of faith. Obedience is evidence that one’s faith is genuine (1 John 2:3). If a person remains unwilling to obey Christ, he provides evidence that his “faith” is in name only (1 John 2:4). A person may claim Jesus as Savior and pretend to obey for a while, but, if there is no heart change, his true nature will eventually manifest itself. This was the case for Judas Iscariot.

9) Genuine believers may stumble and fall, but they will persevere in the faith (1 Corinthians 1:8). This was the case for Simon Peter. A “believer” who completely turns away from the Lord plainly shows that he was never born again to begin with (1 John 2:19).

A person who has been delivered from sin by faith in Christ should not desire to remain in a life of sin (Romans 6:2). Of course, spiritual growth can occur quickly or slowly, depending on the person and his circumstances. And the changes may not be evident to everyone at first. Ultimately, God knows who are His sheep, and He will mature each of us according to His perfect time table.

Is it possible to be a Christian and live in lifelong carnality, enjoying the pleasures of sin, and never seeking to glorify the Lord who bought him? Can a sinner spurn the lordship of Christ yet lay claim to Him as Savior? Can someone pray a “sinner’s prayer” and go about his life as if nothing had happened and still call himself a “Christian”? Lordship salvation says “no.” Let us not give unrepentant sinners false hope; rather, let us declare the whole counsel of God: “You must be born again” (John 3:7).

WHAT IS ANTINOMIANISM?

Since God is not the author of confusion, who is and why are we so confused?  Why is the Body of Christ so divided?  Our adversary is having a high 'ol time today with all the infighting, false prophets/churches, wolves and we Christians tearing each other apart.  I fear until we become of ONE VOICE; ONE ACCORD, we can share the Gospel to every lost person on the earth and no one is going to want to get involved in this rabid fighting amongst ourselves.  We like sheep have gone astray.  How about we stop making up new terms for salvation by grace alone; faith alone; Christ alone and just share the Gospel?  What power does preaching the Gospel even have?  According to the Apostle Paul, it has "the power to salvation."  Easy believism is an undefined, man-made term as is Lordship Salvation.  I'm sharing what I've found but I think it comes down to a few simple questions to ask yourself...

Do you trust in what Jesus Christ did on the cross alone and in full to pay your sin debt so that you can be saved and made righteous by His work?  Or do you believe that His death/burial/resurrection was insufficient for salvation and that you can work, buy, earn or in any way aid in your salvation?  If so, why did He have to die such a painful death?  Why did He have to take on the sins of the world on the cross? What does "good works" mean to you?

Is Jesus Christ the LORD of YOUR LIFE?

The commentary below comes from a highly credible site called Gotquestions.org. I in no way endorse this belief system.  But this is where the Body of Christ is and why I believe (my POV ONLY) that we are failing and causing many to abandon church altogether and go it alone but the worst case is that they abandon the faith altogether.  Stop using made up words and let's get back to the Bible.

+ + + + + + +

Question: "What is antinomianism?"

Answer:
The word antinomianism comes from two Greek words, anti, meaning "against"; and nomos, meaning "law." Antinomianism means “against the law.” Theologically, antinomianism is the belief that there are no moral laws God expects Christians to obey. Antinomianism takes a biblical teaching to an unbiblical conclusion. The biblical teaching is that Christians are not required to observe the Old Testament Law as a means of salvation. When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He fulfilled the Old Testament Law (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:23-25; Ephesians 2:15). The unbiblical conclusion is that there is no moral law God expects Christians to obey.

The apostle Paul dealt with the issue of antinomianism in Romans 6:1-2, “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?” The most frequent attack on the doctrine of salvation by grace alone is that it encourages sin. People may wonder, “If I am saved by grace and all my sins are forgiven, why not sin all I want?” That thinking is not the result of true conversion because true conversion yields a greater desire to obey, not a lesser one. God’s desire—and our desire when we are regenerated by His Spirit—is that we strive not to sin. Out of gratitude for His grace and forgiveness, we want to please Him. God has given us His infinitely gracious gift in salvation through Jesus (John 3:16; Romans 5:8). Our response is to consecrate our lives to Him out of love, worship, and gratitude for what He has done for us (Romans 12:1-2). Antinomianism is unbiblical in that it misapplies the meaning of God’s gracious favor.

A second thethat antinomianism is unbiblical is that there is a moral law God expects us to obey. First John 5:3 tells us, “This is love for God: to obey His commands. And His commands are not burdensome.” What is this law God expects us to obey? It is the law of Christ – “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:37-40). No, we are not under the Old Testament Law. Yes, we are under the law of Christ. The law of Christ is not an extensive list of legal codes. It is a law of love. If we love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, we will do nothing to displease Him. If we love our neighbors as ourselves, we will do nothing to harm them. Obeying the law of Christ is not a requirement to earn or maintain salvation. The law of Christ is what God expects of a Christian.

Antinomianism is contrary to everything the Bible teaches. God expects us to live a life of morality, integrity, and love. Jesus Christ freed us from the burdensome commands of the Old Testament Law, but that is not a license to sin, but rather a covenant of grace. We are to strive to overcome sin and cultivate righteousness, depending on the Holy Spirit to help us. The fact that we are graciously freed from the demands of the Old Testament Law should result in our living our lives in obedience to the law of Christ. First John 2:3-6 declares, “We know that we have come to know Him if we obey His commands. The man who says, ‘I know Him,’ but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys His word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in Him: Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did.”

CHRIST JESUS PAID FOR OUR SIN DEBT IN FULL!!!

EASY BELIEVISM AND REPENTANCE BY ROBERT BREAKER

God is NOT the author of confusion but of peace.  Why then are so many Christians confused, worried and unsure of what they've known all their lives?  Well, my POV is the LIAR.  Confuse the Church, cause division and give them a man-made word like Lordship Salvation vs. Easy Believism.  Robert Breaker explains it and takes away the confusion.  My next post will be from a very credible source about Lordship salvation.  Let me be perfectly clear here on what I believe...

"For ye are SAVED by grace through faith and not of yourselves.  It is a gift of God.  Not of works lest any man should boast."  Ephesians 2:8-9

"It is not God's will that any man should perish but all be called to REPENTANCE."

I believe there is a false salvation and true salvation.  Acts 8:37 in the KJV says clearly that you MUST believe with your whole heart, mind, soul and strength that Jesus Christ is Lord.  You cannot say a prayer, asking God to forgive you and then go on living your life in sin.  The Apostle Paul is clear when he says "should we sin so that grace can abound?  God forbid!

You are a new creation in Christ Jesus upon true salvation.  By that and through the works of the Holy Spirit, you will live a different life.  We will sin but we won't remain in willful sin.  The Holy Spirit regenerates you, transforms you, sanctifies you and ultimately you go to Heaven.  True salvation will produce good works but what are considered good works?  It's not anything we do but what He does.  We will sin and Paul also says that when we do, we have one mediator between us and God and that's the man Christ Jesus.  "I am the way, the truth and the life.  No man cometh unto the Father except through me."  Salvation is simple, easy and free but there is a cost.  You will have to be willing to lose everything to be found worthy.  What are you willing to lose to gain the Kingdom of God?

These are my own thoughts.  I am not teaching, preaching or sharing a different Gospel.  The only Gospel is the death/burial/resurrection of Christ Jesus; trust in Him alone for your salvation and you are saved.  Read First Corinthians 15.  Do not add to or take away from this or you ARE teaching a false Gospel.  Saying a prayer but living a willful sinful life isn't true salvation.  You are going to be transformed and you will receive the fruits of the Spirit and your life will show it by those fruits.  I believe this is where the confusion comes in.  Many think "fruits" are actions and works of the law but it's not, it's patience, humility, mercy, etc.  We are called to Holiness and righteous living and that can only be achieved by the WORK of the Holy Spirit in your life.  Be ye therefore transformed.  You cannot receive the Holy Spirit without true conversion.  It is a free gift upon salvation!

HOW CAN PRO-LIFE BE PROMOTED IN A COMPASSIONATE WAY: CHRISTIANITY.COM

Well done (and very short) video on how to reach the world in a very real way.  The Church has failed these women and way too often, young teens.  God bless.

MUST SEE VIDEO ON CHRISTIAN APOLOGETICS

We are told in First Peter 3:15 to always be ready to give sound and good reasons for your faith and P.  We call it Christian Apologetics.  It is in no way "apologizing" for our faith but it defends it.  Everyone who is out in the world sharing the Gospel (and we all are commanded to) then you need to learn at least some basics of it.  It will help you be more effective in leading others to salvation.  It's not a cure and will not work 100% of the time but if you witness to 10 people and 1 hears and believes, then you were 100% successful.  Consider the parable of the talents.  They may go on to lead others to the Cross of Salvation.  It seems hard but download the app called "Cross Examined" on your smart phone and if you're asked a question you're not sure how to answer rightly, they can tell you what to say.  It is an awesome thing to have.  Oh, and carry your Bible openly.  It is a very effective way of opening dialogues with others.  They come to you and even if it's contentious, you never know whether what you say today will make a difference later.  However, if someone just wants to wipe out your faith and are hard-hearted, it's best to just let it go.  Move to those with ears dying to hear and today, there are more than you think.  They want to believe, they just want a good excuse to admit what they already think.  Be that person.

15 MYTHS PEOPLE BELIEVE ABOUT THEIR PASTOR - CROSSWALK SLIDESHOW

It seems as if every church has more problems than it can handle.  We blame the pastors, the elders, boards or anyone but ourselves.  i haven't watched this slideshow but I bet I will know why I have chosen not to find a church and guess whose fault it will be...MINE.  Why?  Because I expect my church to conform to my needs rather than me conforming to the needs of the church.  If there is no light, be the light.  If it's lukewarm, heat it up.  No community outreach?  They pass around the collection plate too much?  Whatever the problem is, forsaking or leaving it is not usually the answer.  It's up to you individually to decide what's best for you Spiritually but do we expect too much from others all the while doing absolutely nothing to fix the problem?  Let's watch to find if Crosswalk has any answers for us.  God bless you all and be safe!

DOES GOD ALWAYS HEAL? BY JUSTIN PETERS....WOLF REPORTER!

Does God Always Heal?

First Peter 2:24 says of Christ, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed."

One of the primary rules of biblical interpretation which must never be violated is context. What is the context in 1 Peter 2? Answer: salvation. There is no way to interpret it in any other sense. The verse is talking about Jesus on the cross dying for us, enduring punishment and bearing our sins, thereby providing salvation for us.

When certain people get hold of this passage, however, they change the context from salvation to physical healing. Every time such people see the word "heal" in the Bible they assume it refers to the miracle of divine healing for the physical body, regardless of whether the context indicates otherwise.
A number of times in Scripture the word healing has specific reference to spiritual healing. There are diseases of the soul that have to be healed -- and the primary disease of the soul is man's unregenerate state, which is rooted in sin. The good news is that God has provided healing for this disease of the soul. And that is what Peter is talking about in 1 Peter 2:24. He is not saying that physical healing of the body is guaranteed to every believer.

Certainly, healing for the body is a benefit of Christ's death on the cross, a benefit for the church as a result of His atoning sacrifice. However, it is not -- it has never been in the history of the church -- a guarantee that God has to heal your body; He doesn't have to!
God does say He will graciously entertain our prayers. He says that if we exercise faith, and if our request is in accordance with His will, He will hear us. But He never said that the mark of true spirituality is that you would never sneeze.

Some within the church will try to tell you, "God's perfect will is that you are never going to be sick." Well, I'll tell you something: there are certain lessons -- if you are honest -- that you'll admit you never would have learned unless the Lord flattened you out long enough to get your attention. Sometimes God teaches us things through our suffering.

Moreover, I must say that sometimes a person, after praying for a healing, may receive a no from God -- a benevolent no, a kindly no, a protective no maybe, but no nevertheless. Tragically, however, there are teachers -- in the Faith movement, for example -- who have the colossal gall to tell people that if they were more spiritual, if they had more faith, if they believed like they believed, they would be well. Such faulty teaching can crush whatever faith these poor people have.

Now, I believe you should go to the Lord and believe Him for healing, and trust Him for healing, and pursue Him for healing. And I believe you should search your soul to make certain there is nothing in your life standing in the way of healing. But you must come to Him and lay yourself out on His conditions. The Scripture says, "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us" (1 John 5:14). If perhaps God intends to teach you something through an illness, He might not heal you immediately.

So don't think you are being neglected by the Holy Spirit if you don't get healed. Don't assume that the Lord is against you. Don't conclude that you necessarily have an absence of faith or secret sin.
Take a good look at 1 Peter 2:21: "Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps." Circle the word example in this verse. Here we are told that Jesus suffered. And He left us an example. We are to follow in His steps.

And what is the meaning of Philippians 3:10, which refers to "the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings"? Let us be clear on this: suffering is an integral part of the fact of life, and is often used by God in the development and maturation of the Christian.

The apostle Paul had a greater standing with the Lord in terms of his ministry than I have or anybody else has ever had. According to 2 Corinthians 12:1-10 Paul requested healing from the Lord three times. And three times he got an answer back: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Translation: God said no to Paul's request for healing. And God had a purpose in saying no.
Did Paul have lack of faith? Rubbish! Was Paul suffering from some secret sin that he was carrying around? Do you see how utterly absurd this is? Do you see how it plays on people's emotions and lives? Do you see how it undermines faith in the absolute authority of Scripture and transfers it to a human being whose experience becomes the criteria?

This type of teaching eats like a cancer in the body of Christ and it must be resisted and opposed at every opportunity so that Christians will not have a cloud hanging over their heads all the time. Instead, they will realize that Jesus really does love them (despite their illness) and that any healing that may come is in His sovereign hands, not ours.

Mr. Peters was born with cerebral palsy and at the tender age of 15 was promised physical healing by a charlatan who had an agenda that I can't speak for.  Needless to say, he wasn't healed so they told him it was his fault, that even though he was a devout Christian for as long as he remembered, he felt that maybe his faith wasn't real or maybe he wasn't even saved.  I'm going on memory here.  Turns out God had great plans for Justin's life that did not include physical healing but rather because he wasn't healed by a charlatan.  You can listen to his series on YouTube to learn more and while this may sound like the most merciless thing a Christian could say is I'm grateful he's exactly the way he was born.  He has a wonderful ministry, exposing wolves and protecting the flock.  Had he been healed, who would have picked up their cross and do the work that Mr. Peters does?  No one as he is unique and chosen by God for a reason.  I admire his courage and his teachings.  Join him on Facebook and Twitter.  Warning...he may be offensive to those of certain denominations but not to be cruel but to ensure you are saved by the grace of Jesus Christ and His work on the cross and not anything we do, say, buy or earn.  In fact, we all deserve to go to hell but God provided us with a free "get out of hell" card by the birth of His Son and the ultimate sacrifice.  I just love that empty tomb!

God bless you all and we have the ability to reach the world with the Gospel at our fingertips.  Get out of this world and think of your eternal home and watch the anger, frustration and fear disappear.  Love IS the greatest gift ever!

This is my words, not Justin Peters beneath the photo so any errors or information that is incorrect, while unintentional is completely my fault and my faulty memory.

WANNA BE AMAZED? GOOGLE SEARCH LAMININ

I am not going to ruin the WOW by sharing a video for a few days but instead all I ask you to do is GOOGLE the word "laminin."  I don't know what's on other search engines but I do know this particular search engine is very secular and leans far left, politically speaking.  There are many people who want God out of America.  While I have no verifiable proof other than members of my family and on social media sites have said they want us gone, have no rights to worship or even mention God's name (unless it's vain, course and the more vulgar, the better).  Prayer has disappeared in our educational system, courtrooms, and you're mocked if you say grace in public.  It's politically incorrect as you may offend a nonbeliever.  You can't sling a stick without offending the world today.  So, I believe science may have done something that could be the beginning of something huge for the Body of Christ.  It's either the 3rd or 4th link at "Truthfinders" or "eRumors" that I especially want you to go to first to find out what they say.  Then check out the others.  Is Christ Jesus in us from birth?  We have to be saved to receive the Holy Spirit but are our earthly bodies built on the rock?  I dare you to find out.  If you don't, you're a chicken and I want a dozen eggs from everybody who sees this and doesn't do it.  I WANT COMMENTS and a bunch of 'em.

God bless and really...God is EVERYWHERE!  Go now!

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND JUST WHY I HAVE BEEN SILENT....READ FIRST

Happy New Year, everyone and let it be the year of a revival of the one true Church, the BODY OF CHRIST JESUS!

i have to confess to both all of my Google Plus friends and communities.  Last year, 2017....wow, has it only been 4 days since a whole year passed, was one of battles for me.  I had some major occurrences in my life and some Spiritual battles I had to deal with.  While they're not completely gone nor will they ever on THIS earth, my faith is stronger than ever!  I am so sorry I have failed to go to my groups, pages, etc. and to all of my family in Christ Jesus.  Prayers are always appreciated.  I have decided to spend more time spreading the Gospel where it's needed the most and will be starting a new blog that may be misleading IF you don't know me.  Help me think of a good name but it will be for the "logical" and "free thinkers" of the world who believe in the "god" of science (man).  Oh, how I'd just love to hit 'em on the head with a book (you know which one) until they finally "got it" but should a Christian do such a thing?  Well, ask yourself what Jesus Christ did when facing His opponents.  Was He always the sweet and gentle "human man" we far too often think of Him first rather than His divinity or did He show His wrath at times?  I'll let you answer that one for yourself but remember the moneychangers in the Temple, lol.  I'm still going to be doing this blog and using what I share on other social media sites.

I want someone who has more time and is not so overwhelmed with other projects in 2018 to consider starting a group to go out INTO the world because I fear greatly that we're only "preaching to the choir," so to speak.  The world ain't coming to us for answers anymore.  They turn to the false gods of this world for answers be it for their morality (what's left of it anyway); cults - some downright demonic; science; and politics (as well as many other sources) on how we came into existence.  I am not saying this to start a debate, argument or anything like that at all but don't be dogmatic about how old the earth is (we don't know and there are many variables because of how God isn't in our time zones, people), the rapture and don't even try to explain the doctrine of the Godhead.  If so, you run the risk of messing the whole thing up because the Bible says it is beyond our comprehension.  Your head will explode if you try explaining it even to yourself.  Also, you're also probably going to make God too human if you do.  Just be honest and say that it's a mystery to us that we take on faith, quote the Apostle Paul when he tells us that the mystery of the Godhead (our Trinity as some call it) is just that, a mystery then follow it up with "for now we see through a glass darkly; for we see in part but will see in full; for we know in part and shall know in full."  That may not be exact but any reputable scientist will admit there are many mysteries in science that will never be known.  Why does one sister get lung cancer at 57 and the other, who abused her body all her life, be healthy as a horse?  There are so many whys and hows to answer.

Well, that's my apology and my reason for not being on here except to also say I lost my computer as in it just died on me.  I'm hoping and praying I get a new one by the end of the month and ask for prayers that my husband's average sales for this bonus and reward thing at work adds up by .3 so that he gets a $1200 bonus.  I do NOT like to ask God for financial blessings.  He is NOT my banker and I'm very happy with my humble life.  I want for nothing but more Jesus Christ in my life; my husband to stay healthy and we have some money to give. If he doesn't, then God will provide us with what we need.  So it's been mainly my fault, I struggled SOME with my faith but never to doubting God, just feeling like He'd forsaken me.  Oh, that reminds me of something kind of amazing to me.  I'll end with this...

FOUR FACTS ABOUT DRUG ADDICTION....SECOND OF THREE POSTS SO READ SECOND!

As I said in my last post, I had a mystery of my own.  I'm going to be very honest here and confess something...i am recovering from a 5 year addiction to legally prescribed narcotic pain medication.  There, I said it and now it's real.  I was way over-prescribed and was convicted of it.  Do I need them?  Yes and no.  I do at times physically but not like I've been taking them and that's as preventative and not as needed.  Let me be perfectly clear on drug addicts and you need to pay close attention to a few things.

One, nobody ever wakes up and says "today I'm going to become a junkie," and that's whether you're addicted to codeine or heroin.  A drug addict is a drug addict be it from a doctor of medicine or a drug dealer on the corner.

Two, once you are addicted to any drug (there's a difference between physical dependence such as is the case with steroids and addiction to an opiate or benzo) you are no longer in control but the drug controls you.  You are not weak or cowardly either so don't ever tell a loved one that as it is not helpful but rather makes it so much harder for them to WANT to get help.  If you have a loved one who is addicted, call AA or NA for guidance and there's also some very helpful sites on the internet on how to help.

Three, drug addicts addicted to pain meds are not getting high off of them.  They take them to feel "normal."  You get so sick mentally and physically if you just stop cold turkey and you'd better have a good plan and support system in place before ever going that route.  That is why so many turn to heroin, that and the reason below.

Four, once you reach a certain amount of pills, say 4 at once, you could take 8 and it wouldn't make you high but really, really sick.  It's called chasing the dragon.  That's one of the reasons why so many people are overdosing and dying because of the opiod crisis.

And then God shows up....read the 3rd and final part to my mystery!

AND GOD SHOWED UP IN A HUGE WAY TO ME AND AS USUAL, RIGHT ON TIME! READ LAST

Five, Christian or not, you can justify anything to yourself if you want to but you cannot fool God.  I knew I was taking too much and my old doctor just gave me as many as I wanted (8 10-mg pills per day at one point in time) but my new doctor has me on a tight leash.  I can take 2 pills per day and if I take more than that, I'll go into withdrawals and because of a mistake by the doctor, I thought I could take 3 and for the first time in a while I actually needed it so I ran out.  We end up overtaking but God heard me.  When I thought He had forsaken me, He was working in me.  I was stressing mentally but had little to no physical withdrawals.  This month is going to be the month where I break them in half by next week and still only take 2.  I'm going to view the halves as a whole and supplement it with OTC meds for pain control.  While I'm not completely free of addiction, I feel in my heart that I'm almost there.  Within 3 months it will only be "as needed."  Now for how God was not only listening to me but He had a small surprise for me...exactly to the T what I prayed for.  Here it is....

On my darkest nights when I couldn't pray, read my Bible or even watch a movie because of how miserable I was, I cried out.  I would tell Him I'm hanging by a thread, dear Jesus, I don't care how thin the string is but please, please hold on to me.  I cannot do this anymore.  Come to find out that when you're in withdrawal, things like your faith, sex and a few other things that it is NORMAL to have no desire for them.  I'm telling you that if satan's DNA is on anything, it's on drugs.  When you're weak, that thing attacks you and you truly feel powerless to stop it.  I'd read the Bible and get so frustrated I'd throw it down on the couch and read a Psalm because it was all I could handle.  I did good if I could read 7 verses a night.  My prayer life was in shambles.  The guilt, it was awful.  And then.....

God showed up!  Remember how I said I prayed and asked God to hold on to me by a string but just don't let me walk away from Him.  Even at my worst, I knew He wouldn't leave me.  I'm not one for a lot of jewelry as anything metal on me irritates me either physically or mentally.  I don't know why.  I never told anybody this, not even my husband until God showed up.  We didn't celebrate the holidays except for a few little things and way too much sweets but my sister always sends us gifts.

There was a small and thin tin-like box with a message that said to open last.  I figured it was a gift card.  I opened it last and what I saw there blew my mind.  I was, for once, speechless for about 3 minutes.  All I could do was stare as I just didn't know the words to how I felt.  Nothing could have shocked me more even if it had been a check for a million dollars because in that box was a necklace that says the word "faith" in the shape of a cross on a very thin string.  That's when my FAITH exploded.  Miracle?  Maybe not to you but to me, it was proof and when that happens to you, if it hasn't yet for any newborn babies in Christ, wait for it.  God will amaze you in ways you can't even begin to imagine.  I'm going to go see if I can find a picture of the one I have...be right back!  This is extremely close but mine is silver, which I prefer over gold.  They look the same, other than that, although there could be some differences!
