Isaiah 63:4

For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.

For further study - Isaiah 63:1-6 & 61:1-2

In order to understand the harshness of this passage in Isaiah 63 you need to know some of the background of the passage.

The "day of vengeance" referred to by the Lord, speaking through the Prophet Isaiah, must be understood by looking back to Isaiah 61:1-2. This is the passage that Jesus Christ was asked to read in the synagogue in Nazareth, Luke 4:16-21.

In Dr Luke's record of Jesus in the synagogue you'll notice that our Lord did not finish verse 2, of Isaiah 61. The part He left out was, "and the day of the vengeance of our God, to comfort all that mourn", Isaiah 61:2b.

In our key verse, verse 4, Isaiah has recorded the prophetic words of the Lord, revealing, before the fact, what the Lord will say in the day described by our devotional passage for today.

Isaiah asked two questions, the first in verse 1, "Who is he that cometh from Edom, from Bozrah?" This is the geographical location of Petra in southern Jordan. To this question the Lord responds with, "I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save".

In verse 2 the second question, "Why is his apparel stained with 'red' like him that treadeth in the winefat?" The Lord responds to this question, verse 3, "I have trodden the winepress alone". The Lord said, their blood will be sprinkled upon His garments, "for the day of his vengeance is come," verse 4. It is in verse 4 that the Lord finishes the thought of Isaiah 61:2.

This prophetic account is what will happen after the Lord goes to the Jezreel Valley at the time of the "Battle of Armageddon." After all the enemies are destroyed by Jesus Christ, He makes the trip to Petra, traveling the 176 miles predicted by John in Revelation 14:19-20.

The blood rises as high as the "horse bridles" for that trip. The blood comes from the bodies of the hundreds of millions of men who die on the "battle field". This will be a terrible time in history.

By the way, it is 176 miles from Megiddo in the Jezreel Valley to the entrance of Petra, the place "prepared by God" to protect the Jewish people in the last three and a half years in the Tribulation Period, Revelation 12:6.

This is the end time scenario of this terrible time of the end and the death of those who follow Satan instead of Jesus. It is a time when some of our loved ones may well be there because they have never trusted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

What we should do, now that we understand these prophetic truths, is warn our loved ones, and in fact everybody, of this terrible time of judgment ahead and invite them to trust in Jesus Christ today before it's eternally too late.

We should not just study this for knowledge but for that which will motivate us to warn others of the coming time of judgment, and then lead them to Jesus Christ.

PRAYER THOUGHT: Help me Lord to learn so that I can warn the lost before it's eternally too late.

That Which Costs Me Nothing

  Then the king said to Araunah, “No, but I will surely buy it from you for a price; nor will I offer burnt offerings to the Lordmy God with that which costs me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. - >2 Samuel 24:24

Notice, David was a man of great integrity; he kept to a strong principle when he gave to the LORD. He would not offer ‘that which cost him nothing’.  Whatever David offered to the Lord was always given sacrificially.  David accumulated great quantities of wealth: gold, silver, bronze, iron, marble, wood and all kinds of precious stones. But it was not to enrich himself––these precious materials were gathered to build the temple of the LORD. First Chronicles 29:3 reveals to us David’s heart:

 Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver…

David’s affection for the Lord overflowed in worshipful giving.  He set an example that influenced his leadership and the people.  First Chronicles 29:6-9 describes how they all joined their king in giving to the work of the Lord.  As they gave they received a blessing themselves––joy.

Then the leaders of the fathers’ houses, leaders of the tribes of Israel, the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the officers over the king’s work, offered willingly… Then the people rejoice… because with a loyal heart they had offered willingly to the Lord…

Imagine what we could do for God’s kingdom if only we, as God’s people, gave to God what belongs to God. He promises to bless those who give.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse…and try Me now in this,”
Says the Lordof hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
and pour out for you such blessing…

Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. —1 Peter 3:10

Have you ever sent an email and suddenly realized it went to the wrong person or it contained harmful, harsh words? If only you could press a key and stop it. Well, now you can. Several companies offer a feature that gives you a brief time after sending an email to stop it from leaving your computer. After that, the email is like a spoken word that cannot be unsaid. Rather than being seen as a cure-all, an “unsend” feature should remind us that it’s extremely important to guard what we say.

In the apostle Peter’s first letter, he told the followers of Jesus, “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing. . . . For, ‘whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it’ ” (1 Peter 3:9-11).

The psalmist David wrote, “Set a guard over my mouth, Lord ; keep watch over the door of my lips” (Ps. 141:3). That’s a great prayer for the beginning of each day and in every situation when we want to strike back with words.

Lord, guard our words today so we may not harm others by what we say. —David McCasland

Father, teach us first to guard our hearts so that we may guard our tongues. And help us, when we do say things we regret, to humbly apologize and seek forgiveness.

The tongue has the power of life and death.  Proverbs 18:21

INSIGHT: The apostle Peter may be one of the last people from whom we would expect counsel on bridling our tongues. He was the one to chastise Jesus and claim fidelity even if all others failed, and yet he later disowned Christ (Matt. 26:33, 69-75). He was the only disciple to resort to violence (v. 51; John 18:10-11), and yet he encouraged the mistreated and displaced not to return like for like (see 1 Peter 3:9). Through the work of the Holy Spirit, Peter finally understood the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:38-44. Have you wished you could hit rewind and take back your words or actions? Is it comforting to know that just as Peter was changed, you too, through the Holy Spirit, can experience growth and change? J.R. Hudberg

God Bless You All For The Glory Of Jesus Christ, Beloveds.

God has blessed us through you. We are His family in the faith on cyber space. This is a new creation of God for His Glory and the Glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in whom we abide, in His love,  and to whom give all praise and glory.

Jackie and I are self named  "theabalonekids". We make Abalone Jewelry and by His Grace and care, are able to support our ministry as well as our simple lifestyle. When we met on the streets of Mendocino, Ca 26 years ago I was in street ministry 24/7 living in my small Dodge Van with Bible in hand  singing and sharing the Word for His glory.  My pockets were full of abalone pieces I found on the beautiful beaches of the "Lost Coast" of California where pirates once docked and Al Capone had a getaway home.

My ministry on Google+ and You Tube is a gift of God and so is Jackie. Without her love, care, and gifts God blessed her to have,  the Christ impressions in videos and studies as well as the Gospel would not have been possible. Without His love in her I could not write you today as I do,  for only a woman of God would put up with a man such as myself who is a bond servant to Jesus Christ.

Years ago I wrote her this prose love piece I will share with you now.

Through the majesty of the Savior

That The Acts Of The Apostles (ACTS) written by Luke did not end?

Acts tells of the beginning of the ministry of the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Remember in the Garden of Eden man doubted God and that led to disobedience  and sin and the fall.

The way back to God is by faith:  Romans 1:5  " By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:"  so we find in that day that some believed the gospel and some did not.  Every believer is a "sent one" since Pentecost. Each of us are witnesses sent forth to the lost world with a message..."for the obedience to the faith among all nations, for His name".   Obedience to the faith is very important to God ( Romans 16:19;  26). I pray we live in obedience to God.

As YOU KNOW, saving faith brings us to the place of surrendering to the Son of God who loves us and gave His himself for us. While correct doctrine is essential, there is a discipline and a doing that goes with it as many of us know by experience.  We ARE the salt of the earth and in so being we must combine them both.

"But we never can prove the delights of His love, for the favor He shows, and the joy He bestows, are for them who will trust and obey. Trust and obey, for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus , but to trust and obey" (Hymn; "Trust and Obey", by Rev.J.H.Sammis)

For the past 11 years, I have posted this...Why? Because of it's profound look at you and I in relation to life and what many go through. Our lives seem to be so busy that we fail to remember what others endure. It has ministered to many over the years, I pray it will for you again this Thanksgiving season...

"Contemplate" ... Heavenly Father, help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night could be a single father who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious moments with his children.

Help us remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can't make change correctly could be a worried 19 year old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester.

Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the same spot every day (who really ought to get a job) could be a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.

Help us remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress could be savoring this moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got back last week, this will be the last year that they go shopping together.

Heavenly Father, remind us each day that of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy and love.

Jesus Christ said: Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. John: 8:36 NKJV.

So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free. AMP.

There is NO freedom in this world outside of Christ Jesus.
Any so called freedom outside of the power of Christ Jesus is also a manipulation from the devil. Selah!

Are You Free INDEED?

Except Christ Jesus makes you FREE, you are still under the power and manipulation of the devil.

God wants you to be FREE INDEED from all satanic activities over your life and family.

The Bible says: ....and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. 2Timothy:2:26

You are NOT free INDEED in Illuminati, Islam, Kabbalah, Scientology, New Age, if you are Buddhist, Hindu, Rosicrucian, Freemason and practicing idolatry. Etc.

You are NOT free INDEED when you are living in sin, wearing magic ring, necklace, amulets, using magic handkerchiefs, and using occult powers behind the pulpit to deceive God's Children.

What you do not know is that satan will first of all deceive you Preachers, Pastors, Evangelists, Reverends, Deacons, Deaconesses and Bishops, then he will use you to deceive those under you.( Your congregations)

The Bible says in Zechariah: 13:7: “Strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered.

For it is written:’ I will strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered. Mark: 14:27.

For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. Romans:11:16.

God does NOT want you to perish in hell fire. He wants you to be FREE INDEED?
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John:3:16:17

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter: 3: 9

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

ARE YOU FREE INDEED?

Jesus Christ said: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John: 10:10.

Receive Christ Jesus' Freedom by praying this prayer with meaning in your heart: God be merciful to me, a sinner. I repent now of all my sins and turn from them, trusting you to wash them away in the Blood Jesus shed on the Cross. Make me a new creation in Christ Jesus, and give me power to live for You from this day forward. In Jesus name I pray. Amen."

If you meant the prayer in your heart congratulations, you are NOW a child of God, and your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Remember having a personal relationship with Jesus means you will need to spend time with Him in prayer and regular Bible study. To know more about your new friend Jesus Christ, you need to plug into a good Bible believing Church. A Bible believing Church is one that believes in the truth of the Bible and practices the teachings of Jesus Christ in our daily walk. Be baptized and tell others about Jesus Christ.

Destroy and Burn every satanic thing you have in your house, in Jesus name. Amen!

For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. Galatians: 2:18

Meditate on these scriptures (Romans: 8:1, 2Corinthians:5: 17, Romans: 6:18, Galatians: 2:20, 1John:5:19: 21), and thank Christ Jesus for the Cross.
