This is true for me and I try very hard not to put any of my standards or pet peeves on others. I KNOW you guys and I've noticed that it is a rare, rare thing to see God, Jesus Christ, Christ, YHWH, Almighty God, Yeshua ah Messiach or Messiah without a capital letter. In fact, if something about God is written, for example "Our God, he's an awesome god, it is extremely rare to see it written this way. It's almost 100% written "Our God, He is an AWESOME God!" I've noticed I'm not the only follower of Jesus Christ who feels this way, either! I've read some comments by others admonishing "posters" to use capital letters as it is a HUGE sign of respect. My only reason for writing this is to bring this issue to light without being or appearing holier-than-thou, self-righteous or judgmental in any way. Nor, by the way, am I a member of any "Sacred Name" movement. Using the name God, Elohim, Jesus Christ, Yeshua ah Messhiach, Jehovah, YHWY, Almighty and/or Creator God or Adonai makes any difference to Him. He knows our hearts, and since He IS the only true Living God, it's not like another one thinks you're praying to them. Let's get real here on this name thing. I literally think of Him as my real and biological father. I call Him that sometimes and if I'm feeling especially playful and close in a child-like way, I've even called him "Dad." See, I didn't have a biological father much as a child and He IS my Father. He's the BEST Father. I've also found, dear ones, that when you start thinking of Him in terms of Him being your Father, you will understand Him and draw so much closer to Him than you thought possible. He LOVES us. We are His CHILDREN and He is NOT a petty or arbitrary God. Do you really think our Amazing God, our Father who loves us so much He came down in the flesh and died a horrific death for the ONLY reason is so we can have everlasting life with Him would not listen because we didn't say His "name" properly. Hmmm, that's something to think about, I would hope.
Last, there will be days when I make a lot of posts, others just a few. Also, I stay up late (and I mean late) so if I post something at 3:00 a.m. Friday morning, I am still considering that as Thursday. I need to eat my daily Spiritual bread too. I hope you'll listen to this man's sermons. I love the contrast between the older pastors and the new. It's amazing, it really is. It's awesome to hear Dr. McGee say what the Bible says without calling himself a "prophet," but listen to today's men of God to see the fulfillment of God's Word today. It is faith building and you will gain much wisdom and knowledge. It will help your ministry no matter what that may be. I am not technically a part of the ministry of a church. Old fashioned? Nope, a believer in God's Word and that it changes not. I do not believe women are called to be leaders of churches. In fact, the more I read the Bible, the less convinced I am that we should even "go to church," at least NOT in the way we do. But, more on that later and everything I'm saying, I can and will back it up with scripture. I go by the clear written language of God's Word, I do not twist, pervert or use unrelated verses (especially partial ones) to uphold my beliefs. Am I wrong? I'm sure I am on some things but not on the ones I am willing to take a stand on. I know feminists will have my head on a platter but the Word of God is clear on our role in the church. My question to believers is this, do you want to go be with our God and Savior Christ Jesus OR have what you want on THIS earth? I want God, not my ears tickled. I've been deceived and it almost cost me everything. Just remember this, Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and life. He changes not. His way is the BEST way. If no women ministers offends you, we don't know WHY and could it possibly be that God, in His infinite wisdom, gave this law because He knows men do not listen very well to women? Not doctrine, not even a theory but maybe we are just making some very wrong conclusions. God bless and trust in God, not man. You will go everywhere you want and places you never expected!
GOD BLESS, MUCH LOVE (AND LOVE MUCH) IN CHRIST JESUS AND ALWAYS BE FULL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. FOR IT IS THE POWER TO CHANGE THE WORLD!

You need not be concerned about capitalizing the C in anti Christ,or anti-Christ. It's probably even ok to capitalize the A,although I'm kind of like you, I don't like to give him that much, let's say "authority", or perhaps respect is a better word.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about you, but I know that many do not realize what the term really means, you see, "anti" in the Greek has a different meaning than it does in English. In the Greek tongue, "anti" means " instead of", he comes INSTEAD of Christ. So as you can see, it is perfectly proper to capitalize the C in Christ, as for the rest, I guess I'd say let your conscious be your guide.
May God bless & guide
