Why jesus came to Earth as human to save us from our sins.
First, let’s review what the Bible says about Jesus being God in human form to confirm that we’re standing on solid ground.
Jesus claimed to be God in John 10:30 when He said,“I and the Father are one.” He repeated this claim on the night of His betrayal when He told Philip, “If you’ve seen me you have seen the Father” (John 14:9).
John said that Jesus is God in the first verse of his Gospel, calling Jesus “the Word”.
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1).
To verify that he was talking about Jesus, he said, “The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).
Paul agreed with John. In Colossians 1:15-16 he wrote;
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
The writer to the Hebrews essentially said the same thing in Hebrews 1:2-3, calling Jesus the one through whom God made the universe, the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being.
God Himself agreed with this in Hebrews 1:8. Speaking of His Son He said. “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.”
Finally, In Revelation 1:8, God said, “I am the Alpha and the Omega” and in Rev. 22:13, Jesus said, “I am the Alpha and the Omega.” The only way this could be true of both is if they are one and the same.
In these verses the Bible makes a convincing case for the fact that Jesus is God in human form, so let’s move on to some of the questions people get asked by those who don’t believe it.
Why didn’t God simply say, “I will come and give myself for you as redemption?” Why a Messiah, or the Son of God? Even in the example of Abraham and Isaac on the mountain it is a father and son, presumably to represent God sacrificing His Son. Why?
God gave man a set of laws to live by to make it possible for Him to dwell with us. He didn’t just make them up, His standards of righteousness require them, and not just for His people. These are things He requires of Himself when dealing with us as well.
One of His laws concerns redemption. When any of His people lost something He had given them, whether it was property or personal freedom, a blood relative was responsible for redeeming the loss (Lev. 25:25,47-49). God is not a man, let alone our blood relative, so when Adam sinned and put himself and all his progeny in bondage to sin God couldn’t redeem us Himself. A man had to do it.
As the sacrificial system shows us, the “coin of redemption” is the blood of an innocent man, represented throughout the years by a perfect lamb. The lamb’s blood was sufficient for a temporary reprieve, but it would eventually take a perfect sinless man to permanently redeem mankind.
That created an enormous problem in that since the fall there hasn’t ever been a perfect sinless man. All of Adam’s descendants were contaminated by sin, so they were all disqualified. Angels are of a different order so none of them could do it. The only solution was for God to become a man himself, because only He is sinless. And just like He showed Abraham and Isaac on the mountain (Genesis 22), it took a father to oversee the sacrifice and a son to be the sacrifice. So the Father needed a Son.
Peter explained all this in the clearest terms when he wrote;
For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake (1 Peter 1:18-20).
When did God first identify Himself as Father and Son ?
According to 1 Peter 1:20 above, it happened sometime before the creation of the world. David saw it in the Spirit and recorded it in Psalm 2:7.
I will proclaim the decree of the Lord: He said to me, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father.”
God did not start looking for a wife with whom to have a child, the way we would. He looked at the second member of the trinity and declared Him to be His Son.
We can tell David was not referring to his own special relationship with God by reading the next few verses.
“Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. You will rule them with an iron scepter; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”
Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Kiss the Son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him (Psalm 2:8-12).
Before the first man was created, God saw that mankind would fall into sin and would need a Redeemer. In what’s known in some circles as the everlasting covenant, these two members of the Trinity came to an agreement that in the fulness of time the Son would be born into humanity to become a kinsman to mankind and give His life as a ransom for our sins.
Jesus prayed to God for strength both to resist temptation and to face the cross. If he needed that extra strength, how is he the eternal and almighty God? And if He is God, was He praying to Himself?
When Jesus came to Earth He came as as a man to redeem mankind. That means He functioned as a man and actually limited His powers to those available to mankind. The miracles He performed were made possible through the power of the Holy Spirit, and were repeated by His disciples and others to show us that all men have this power available to them. As a man, He grew tired and discouraged at times, and, in the final hours before His ordeal, was beset by anguish. When that happened He went to His father in prayer, just like you and I do.
After His temptation, Jesus was strengthened by an Angel. How can an Angel, (a ‘kingdom below’) strengthen the Almighty?
The wilderness temptation (Matt. 4:1-11) was no ordinary event. A careful reading shows that each temptation involved Jesus violating His mission, either by reclaiming His Godly power, disobeying the Scripture, or worshiping Satan. Any one of these would have disqualified Him as our redeemer and left mankind forever lost.
After 40 days without food, a man’s reserves are depleted, and His temptation happened right at the end. Imagine yourself in that situation and try to get a sense of how you would feel. Would you have the strength to resist all of Satan’s wiles at the end of a 40 day fast? After Jesus sent Satan away, God sent angels to comfort Him and restore His strength. We have no way of knowing how often God has sent angels to help restore other men, but I imagine it has happened numerous times.
Christ states when explaining end times prophecy to his disciples that he does not know when the day will come, that only the Father knows. If they were one entity how could he not know what he said he knows?
That’s actually not what Jesus said. Matt. 24:36 reads, “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”
Notice the word “about” in that verse. It means the details surrounding the actual day and hour of His coming were unknown to Him at that time, just like they are unknown to all men. These details were revealed to Him after He returned to Heaven, and when He visited the Apostle John on the Isle of Patmos he had John share them with us. Remember, the first verse of the Book of Revelation says, “The revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon take place.”
I don’t have a problem with the trinity but I have a friend who does, He has been a Jehovah’s Witness and threw a question at me I couldn’t answer. Why did Jesus say “My Father is Greater than I”. How would you answer that question?
Jesus said, “My Father is greater than I” inJohn 14:28. I think Philippians 2:5-11 is a good passage to use in explaining this.
“Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God,did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
While on Earth Jesus was, for a little while, lower than the angels (Hebr. 2:7) the humble servant of God. Of course He would say, “My Father is greater than I”. But because He was willing to become subordinate to the Father, the Father gave Him the name that is above all names. Today on Earth no one knows the true name of the Father, but almost everyone has heard the name of Jesus.
Redeeming us literally required all the fulness of God to dwell in the One He called His Son, a perfect sinless man who died in our place so we could live with Him in peace (Colossians 1:19-20). It’s something only He could do. And it wasn’t just a temporary thing. Today, there’s a resurrected man named Jesus seated on the throne of God at the right hand of the Mighty One (Matt. 26:64, Ephes. 2:20). Still one with Him, but still the image of the invisible God, the exact representation of His be

God’s Reminder for Today: Don’t Let Your Hearts Be TroubledBy Debbie McDaniel, Crosswalk.com Writer
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me.” John 14:1
Sometimes we face circumstances in life that are just out of our control. No amount of our own planning and effort can make it better, or could have even prevented it from occurring. Hard things happen. We feel at a loss in how to fix it all. Sometimes it seems too broken. We may try hard to regain some sense of order, but life can still feel unbalanced, uncertain, even chaotic, because of the pressures that cling too tightly.
Jesus Himself understood these pressures. Over and over in His Word, He reminds us not to worry, not to fear, not to be "troubled" in our hearts.
And on the heels of the Last Supper, before His difficult journey to the cross, Christ offers comfort to His disciples, for He knew what lay ahead. He knew the trials they would all soon face. He could have said so many things in that moment, but these are the words He chose then, and the words that have such power for us still today:
"Do not let your hearts (inmost part, center of your spiritual life and physical being), be troubled (agitated, restless, disturbed). Trust (believe, to have full confidence) in God, trust also in me." John 14:1
4 Truths from this verse to help us live wisely:
- Many around us will have troubled hearts in this world, troubled souls, but Jesus reminds us, don't let "your" heart be troubled. Don't follow the crowd, stand apart, for we know where our true peace and security are found.
- Take care of your "heart" for it is "the fountain and seat of all the thoughts, passions, affections, and purposes" in our lives. Our hearts compel us in every action, thought, and decision. He reminds us to guard our hearts for "everything we do flows from it."
- Don't be "troubled." Sounds easy enough, but quite possibly the most difficult thing in the world. How can we not be troubled when facing huge trials, loss, illness, uncertainty? The only answer lies in Him, and it's how He ends this verse.
- "Trust. Believe." Have full confidence in God, in Christ. For He is the answer for our troubles, every single one. He is our help for each need that we face. He knows our road, the one ahead, and also the tough one we may have just passed through, for He is with us every step. This world is not all we have. This one may be riddled with obstacles, potholes, and even dangerous cliffs. Often we find ourselves struggling just to stay the course.
But we can have hope, still. Right in the very midst of it, in the tough stuff, in the battle. For He is secure. He is trustworthy. He is faithful.
And He has much better, and great blessing, still in store...

The Protestant reformers in the sixteenth century said it best: sola gratia—by grace alone. Don’t abandon the grace of God in midstream. His grace is always sufficient.

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR TODAY DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Where Is God?

“Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:12-13 (NIV)
I’m asked lots of questions when I meet people at conferences.
Practical questions …
“How did you get started speaking and writing?”
Heart-wrenching questions …
“How did you forgive those who hurt you so much?”
Hard questions …
“Why would God let this happen?”
Honest questions …
“How can I find God, and connect with Him in the midst of my everyday life?”
It’s that last question that compels me to do what I do every day. It’s what brings me to sit at the computer and tangle with words and truths and vulnerable admissions. It’s what compels me to split my heart wide open and let people see the not-so-great stuff about me, mixed with the gracious goodness of God.
Because if I can help a soul find an authentic, honest way to connect with God, all the other questions will settle down a bit. Wait more patiently. Maybe decide it’s okay if they go unanswered.
Connection with God is such a deeply personal and uniquely individual process. Surely it can’t be reduced to three points and a poem. But there are two words that stir me. Move me. Show me. Propel me. Two words I hear Jesus saying over and over: “’Follow Me” (Matthew 4:19a, HCSB).
Tucked within these two words, three syllables, 8 letters is the wild secret of a deep connection with God.
If we want to know God, we have to abide in Him.
How do we abide in Him?
Follow His instructions.
Follow His heart.
Follow His example.
Not just follow along as we mindlessly repeat the words of the Jesus songs and scribble some notes during the pastor’s sermon.
No.
Really follow. Follow hard. Follow passionately. Follow fully. Follow with engaged minds and willing hearts and open hands and ready feet.
And where can we start this kind of all-out following?
By asking God to let us see Him.
When we pray, we invite the divine presence of the Almighty God to do life with us that day. Watch for Him. Look for Him. Make the connection of things that happen as direct evidence of His hand at work.
In us. Around us. In spite of us.
Ask Him to help you see His activity as you seek to follow more fully. And He will.
Rest assured God isn’t trying to hide from us. He is waiting to be seen by us.
“Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:12-13).
Father God, oh how my heart longs for an ever-deepening connection with You. Thank You that You aren’t hiding from me. Thank You that Your heart isn’t to frustrate me or confuse me. You respond to my seeking. You draw near to me when I draw near to You. Teach me what it means to follow hard after You. And open my eyes to see You as I’ve never seen You before. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
TRUTH FOR TODAY:
Psalm 91:15, “He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.” (NIV)
James 4:8a, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (NKJV)

Revelation 13:11-18
THEN, I (John) SAW ANOTHER BEAST (The FALSE Prophet), COMING UP OUT OF The Earth, AND He (The FALSE Prophet) Had Two Horns, LIKE a lamb, AND SPOKE LIKE A Dragon (Satan). AND He (The FALSE Prophet) EXERCISES, All The Authority OF The First BEAST (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan), IN His (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan) Presence, AND CAUSES The Earth AND Those (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers), Who Dwell IN IT, TO Worship The First BEAST (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan), Whose Deadly Wound WAS HEALED.
He (The FALSE Prophet) PERFORMS Great SIGNS, SO That He (The FALSE Prophet) EVEN MAKES FIRE, COME DOWN FROM Heaven, ON The Earth, IN The SIGHT OF Men. AND He (The FALSE Prophet) DECEIVES Those (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers), Who DWELL ON The Earth, BY THOSE SIGNS, Which He (The FALSE Prophet) WAS GRANTED TO DO, IN The SIGHT OF The BEAST (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan), TELLING Those (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) Who DWELL ON The Earth, TO MAKE AN IMAGE TO The BEAST (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan), Who WAS WOUNDED BY The Sword AND LIVED.
He (The FALSE Prophet) WAS GRANTED POWER TO GIVE BREATH (NOT The Breath OF Life, FROM GOD Almighty) TO The IMAGE OF The BEAST (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan), That The IMAGE OF The BEAST Should BOTH SPEAK, AND CAUSE AS Many (Believers) AS Would NOT Worship The IMAGE OF The BEAST (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan), TO BE KILLED.
He (The FALSE Prophet) CAUSES ALL (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers), BOTH Small AND Great, Rich AND Poor, Free AND Slave, TO RECEIVE A MARK ON Their Right Hand OR ON Their Foreheads, AND That NO ONE (Believers) May BUY OR SELL, EXCEPT ONE (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers), Who HAS The MARK OR The NAME OF The BEAST, OR The NUMBER OF His NAME.
HERE IS WISDOM. LET Him (Believers), WHO HAS UNDERSTANDING, CALCULATE The NUMBER OF The BEAST (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan), FOR IT IS The NUMBER OF A Man: His NUMBER IS 666.
Revelation 14:9-11
THEN, A Third Angel FOLLOWED Them (Two OF GOD Almighty’s Holy Angels), SAYING WITH A LOUD VOICE, “IF ANYONE (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) Worships The BEAST (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan) AND His (The BEAST’s) IMAGE, AND RECEIVES His (The BEAST’s) MARK, ON His (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) Forehead OR ON His (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) Hand, He (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) Himself, Shall ALSO DRINK OF THE WINE OF THE WRATH OF GOD (GOD Almighty), WHICH IS POURED OUT, FULL STRENGTH, INTO THE CUP OF HIS (GOD Almighty’s) INDIGNATION (Righteous ANGER). He (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) Shall BE TORMENTED, WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE, IN THE PRESENCE OF The Holy Angels, AND IN THE PRESENCE OF THE LAMB (Jesus Christ). AND The SMOKE OF Their (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) TORMENT, ASCENDS, FOREVER AND EVER; AND They (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) HAVE NO REST, Day OR Night, Who Worship The BEAST (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan) AND His (The BEAST’s) IMAGE, AND WHOEVER (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) RECEIVES The MARK OF His (The BEAST’s) Name.”

THEN, I (John) HEARD A LOUD VOICE, FORM THE TEMPLE, SAYING TO The Seven (7) Angels, “GO AND POUR OUT THE BOWLS OF THE WRATH OF GOD (GOD Almighty) ON The Earth.” So, The First (Angel with The First Bowl) WENT AND POURED OUT His BOWL UPON The Earth, AND A Foul AND Loathsome SORE, CAME UPON The Men (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers), Who HAD The MARK OF The BEAST AND Those (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) Who Worshiped His (The BEAST’s) IMAGE.
THEN, The Fourth Angel POURED OUT His BOWL ON The Sun, AND POWER WAS GIVEN TO Him, TO SCORCH Men (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) WITH FIRE. And Men (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) WERE SCORCHED WITH GREAT HEAT, AND They (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) BLASPHEMED The Name OF GOD (GOD Almighty), WHO HAS POWER OVER THESE PLAGUES; AND They (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) DID NOT REPENT AND GIVE Him (GOD Almighty) GLORY.
THEN, The Fifth Angel POURED OUT His BOWL ON The Throne of The BEAST (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan), AND His (The BEAST’s) Kingdom BECAME FULL OF DARKNESS; AND They (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) GNAWED Their Tongues, BECAUSE OF The PAIN. They (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) BLASPHEMED THE GOD (GOD Almighty) OF Heaven, BECAUSE OF Their PAINS AND Their SORES, AND DID NOT REPENT OF Their DEEDS.
THEN, The Sixth Angel POURED OUT His BOWL ON The Great River Euphrates, AND ITS Water WAS DRIED UP, SO That, The Way of The Kings, FROM The East, Might BE PREPARED. AND I (John) SAW Three (3) Unclean Spirits. LIKE Frogs, COMING OUT OF The Mouth OF The Dragon (Satan), OUT OF The Mouth OF The BEAST (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan), AND OUT OF The Mouth OF The FALSE Prophet. For They (The 3 Unclean Spirits) ARE Spirits OF Demons, PERFORMING SIGNS, Which GO OUT TO The Kings OF The Earth AND OF The Whole World, TO GATHER Them TO THE BATTLE OF THAT GREAT DAY OF GOD Almighty. And They (The 3 Unclean Spirits) GATHERED Them TOGETHER TO The Place Called IN Hebrew, Armageddon.
Revelation 19:19-20
And I (John) SAW The BEAST (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan), The Kings of The Earth, AND Their Armies, Gathered Together, TO MAKE WAR AGAINST Him (Jesus Christ), WHO SAT ON THE HORSE (The White Horse) AND AGAINST His (Jesus Christ’s) ARMY. THEN, The BEAST (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan) WAS CAPTURED, AND WITH Him (The BEAST), The FALSE Prophet, Who WORKED SIGNS, IN His (The BEAST’s) Presence, BY WHICH, He (The BEAST) DECEIVED Those (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers), Who RECEIVED The MARK OF The BEAST AND Those (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) Who Worshiped His (The BEAST’s) IMAGE. THESE TWO (The BEAST AND The FALSE Prophet) WERE CAST, ALIVE, INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE, BURNING WITH BRIMSTONE.
Revelation 20:10, 14-15
The Devil (Satan), Who DECEIVED Them (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers), WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE, WHERE The BEAST (The Antichrist, THROUGH Satan) AND The FALSE Prophet ARE. AND They (Satan, The BEAST, AND The FALSE Prophet) WILL BE TORMENTED, Day AND Night, FOREVER AND EVER. THEN, Death AND Hades WERE CAST (ALIVE) INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE. THIS IS THE SECOND DEATH.
AND ANYONE (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) NOT FOUND WRITTEN, IN THE BOOK OF LIFE (EVERLASTING LIFE), WAS CAST (ALIVE) INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE (FOREVER).
Fellow Believers, THESE SCRIPTURES (FROM The Holy Bible) Describe (in some detail), WHAT IT WILL BE LIKE FOR People (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers), DURING The Great Tribulation. IF They (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) COULD NOT OR WOULD NOT Acknowledge GOD Almighty’s Amazing Saving GRACE AND Accept GOD Almighty’s FREE GIVE OF Salvation, BEFORE The Great Tribulation, HOW WILL They (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers) OR WHY WOULD They (FALSE Believers and Unbelievers), DO SO, DURING The Great Tribulation?
Revelation 3:10
Because YOU (Believers) Have KEPT My (Jesus Christ’s) COMMAND TO Persevere, I (Jesus Christ) ALSO Will KEEP YOU (Believers) FROM The HOUR OF TRIAL (The Great Tribulation), Which Shall COME UPON The Whole World (Satan’s World), TO TEST Those (Unbelievers) Who Dwell ON The Earth.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
For The LORD (Jesus Christ), Himself, WILL DESCEND FROM Heaven, WITH A SHOUT, WITH The VOICE of an Archangel, AND WITH The TRUMPET OF GOD (GOD Almighty). And The Dead IN Christ (Dead Believers) WILL RISE First. CHOOSE FORGIVENESS, NOT GOSSIP - DAILY DEVOTIONAL
“Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends”(Proverbs 17:9 NLT, second edition).
Let’s just admit it: When you have some crazy-maker in your life, and she’s (or he’s) just done the craziest thing again, it’s almost impossible not to get in the car, pull out your phone, and call somebody and say, “You won’t believe what she (or he) just did!” In fact, you may even be texting as she’s (or he’s) doing it! That’s what we do with crazy-makers. We want to tell somebody else. We want affirmation from somebody else. It’s the most difficult thing in the world to let go of it. It may feel good when we call someone to spread the word about the crazy-maker’s craziness, but it’s also unloving.
The Bible says to forgive even your enemies. Proverbs 17:9 says, “Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends” (NLT, second edition).
What is gossip? It’s sharing information with somebody who is not part of the problem or the solution. That person might not have had anything to do with the situation, but you bring her into it so you can feel better about yourself. Gossip, in its essence, is a form of retaliation. You’re getting back at someone without talking to her. Instead, you’re talking about her behind her back.
Gossip is incredibly destructive. It is destructive to churches, families, and businesses. It is destructive to your life. It tears you up. It separates the closest of friends.
The worst thing about gossip is that the crazy-maker wins! All of a sudden, that person is controlling your conversation. She’s controlling your emotions. Your whole day is about gossiping about her instead of talking about some great thing that’s happening in your life. Don’t let that person win! Don’t let the crazy-maker win by choosing gossip.
The Bible says in 1 Peter 3:9, “Do not do wrong to repay a wrong, and do not insult to repay an insult. But repay with a blessing, because you yourselves were called to do this so that you might receive a blessing” (NCV).
You can gossip and miss out on God’s blessing. Or, you can choose to have positive conversations and use words that lift others up, and, in doing so, you will receive God’s blessing on your life.

Are you growing? Here are some ways you can tell.
What do you think about?
One of the first signs that you are growing in Christ is that you think about what Jesus has done on your behalf. You reflect upon it and you praise Him for it. Your sins are forgiven and you’re on your way to heaven. What a glorious thought!
What are you doing with your life?
You’re saved, but you don’t stop there. You develop muscles and become a strong warrior to the glory of God. You become an active member of the Lord’s army. Let me ask you: Is the devil afraid of you? Are you an overcomer or are you overcome?
If you are saved and still sitting on the sidelines, shame on you! Indeed, shame on all of us if we’re not exhorting and encouraging one another to lay down our lives to get into active service for our Lord!
Are you evangelizing and discipling others?
A father is one who has children. Do you have any spiritual children? This is a mark of a growing Christian--that you are multiplying yourself (what God did in you) by sharing it with others. When you appear before the throne of God, will you be standing there alone? Or will you be standing with children you have “parented” in Christ?
Do you know why we have so many flabby Christians? They come down the aisle of the church, get baptized, then come Sunday after Sunday and just sit, soak, and sour. They do not exercise. They don’t have daily quiet times; they’re not sharing Christ in their communities and neighborhoods; they’re not ministering in their church.
