ENGAGING IN THE WORD - By: Beaute' Naturelle

Your talents are to be used to serve God by serving others.
“God has given each of you a gift use it to serve others as a good steward of the diverse graces of God." (1 Peter 4:10)

God desires that we have an attitude of compassion and concern for others as well as be proactive contributors in the lives of others. The talents that he has gifted us with are not to be used for our selfish lustful desires. Jesus whole ministry was about serving others. If we are to understand the concept of true biblical fellowship, we must truly deny self-realizing that: true greatness in the Kingdom of heaven consists in using God given talents to serve others. Jesus said, "Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant" (Mt. 20:26).

For many the talent or gift conversation most often points to money first, for our culture idolizes material wealth, and have turned financial giving into a form of talent. Yet, we never read anywhere that Jesus considered the giving of money a talent. Nor did he teach in any great length about materialistic giving. Matter of fact he taught that giving exceeds materialistic alms. “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom”. Many in the body of Christ have come to assume that this verse only relate to tithing and offering or in other words financial giving.

On any given Sunday, you will hear Pastors quoting this verse before or during the passing of the money plate. Yet, in my bible studies I noticed that Jesus never said, what to give, how much to give, who to give it to, or where to give. Why? Because Kingdom talents are not made up of things where moth and rust doeth corrupt or what man has made into an idol. Kingdom talents are spiritual and addresses the heart of men whose greatest need is to be loved and redeemed from sin. Kingdom talents are made up of love, time, and service and to help us understand this truth, Jesus taught us to “Love our neighbor as we love ourselves.”(Matthew 12:31) We all are pleased when others use their talents to serve us with good things for our body and soul (love, time, service) and he reminds us in like manner that love requires us to serve others in the same way we want to be served. This is what our Saviour teaches us. "All things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, even so do unto them."(Matthew 7:12)

Don’t get me wrong, I am not implying that serving others is only through the use of spiritual gifts. God honors both our spiritual gifts and our material giving.Jesus said the righteous who have shared material goods and who have given service to others will be honored. “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you visited Me” (Matthew 25: 25-36). “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You ….. And the King will reply, ”Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me” (Matthew 25:37-40) Jesus reveals in these passages that God is watching how we use our spiritual talents, material resources, and our time which are all gifts to be use to serve others.

How do we serve others in a way that glorifies God?

We glorify God by practicing and applying His talents to demonstrate holiness in our words, behaviors and works as we serve others. “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked”(1 John 2:6). In this passage the Apostle John tells us that we are to imitate Jesus who showed us that the heart of the Christian life is achieving God’s plan to serve others. Jesus knew his time on earth was short and he retained a perfect attitude in every situation while sharing his talents, time and love to serve God’s plan to bring salvation to a lost world.

Jesus made it clear that he was first and far most a servant saying, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Matthew 20:28, Mark 10:45, John 13:1-17, Luke 9:56) Like Jesus, we know that our time on earth is short, ” You do not even know what will happen tomorrow! What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.”(James 4:14) Therefore, I encourage you to do like Jesus, make the most of your remaining time on earth and use your talents for the Kingdom’s purpose to redeem lost souls, built up the body of Christ and to demonstrate the godly life mandated by God.Remember, your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God.

My prayer always is that we continue to grow in grace, truth, wisdom and walk in love towards one another.Help others benefit from this truth by sharing this message. God bless you.

WHEN A BAD DAY IS THE LAST THING YOU NEED - CROSSWALK by: Carrie Dedrick

We’ve all had those days.
The alarm clock doesn’t go off and you’re late for work. The clothes that you were going to wear today are still damp in the dryer, so you have the choice of wearing cold, damp clothes or pulling something dirty out of the laundry basket. There’s no time to pack lunches so you toss your kids some lunch money and send them out the door. One child has a meltdown because his tummy hurts. You can’t find your keys. Oh, and you left your coffee in the microwave. All before 8:00 a.m.
We’ve been there. We know your pain.
Stress has a way of building and building until we crack. Our bad days can turn us into monsters that we don’t recognize in the mirror. Subconsciously, we feel like we have to do something to let off steam. For many of us, our impulse is to yell.
Our frustration can be let out at anyone in our path: a spouse, child, co-worker, or even an unsuspecting telemarketer. On a particularly stressful day, I once let a Direct TV salesman have it in a Costco store. “NO, I don’t want to know about today’s great deal on satellite TV! We have Netflix which costs a fraction of the price and I’m just here to buy granola bars!”
(I went back a few days later to apologize to this poor man who had caught me on my worst day. I never did find him, and I dearly hope he didn’t quit because of my outburst.)
In the (in)courage blog When Your Bad Day Gets Thrown onto Your Kids, author Sarah Mae writes about a time when her bad day led her to yell at her beloved daughter.
“My husband had had a bad day at work, and I had a bad day, and the badness of the day got flung onto my kids through the sharpest weapon I have: my tongue,” she says.
Mae’s daughter began to shake with fear, just as she remembered doing as a child. Disgusted with herself, she went upstairs and cried, and could hear her daughter doing the same on the floor below.
She felt God telling her what to do.
Mae went back downstairs to her daughter and said, “I hate being yelled at. I did to you what I hate. I’m so sorry.”
In a moment that had been so built up by stress and chaos, grace found a way in.
“I may have botched up, in a moment of incredible weakness, but I am not my weakness,”Mae writes.
“We all botch up, every day, some days, but we don’t have to stay there, in the mess.”
But how do we set ourselves from the mess?
Mae says, “We can enter into real love when we break before others and let Him bind us up; they see the mending and the scars, but they forgive us, as we forgive them. This is grace and freedom. And with grace and freedom there is no room for tension, the painful, ugly tension that strangles a soul.”
Bad days will still happen. But they do not have to ruin us.
In the Crosswalk.com blog How to Make a Bad Day Better, writer Betsy de Cruz says that we should always be resolving to grow.
“God is in the business of changing us, so don’t let your failings discourage or define you. His mercies are always new. Accept His forgiveness. Ask Him for grace to change… Bad days don’t have to undo us. We can make even a bad day better when we look for glimpses of God and ways to grow.”
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” (Acts 3:19)

BELIEVERS, STAND YOUR GROUND! By: Stan Arney

Believers, Stand Your Ground

John 5:18-23

Ephesians 6:10-18

Finally, My Brethren (Believers), BE STRONG IN The LORD (GOD Almighty) and IN The POWER of His (GOD Almighty’s) MIGHT. PUT ON The Whole ARMOR OF GOD (GOD Almighty), that YOU (Believers) May BE ABLE TO STAND AGAINST The Wiles of the devil (Satan). For We (Believers) Do NOT Wrestle AGAINST Flesh and Blood (The Natural Body/Mankind), BUT AGAINST Principalities (THROUGH Satan), AGAINST Powers (THROUGH Satan), AGAINST The Rulers of The Darkness (THROUGH Satan) of THIS AGE (The End Times/The Last Days), AGAINST Spiritual Hosts (fal
len angels/demons) of Wickedness (THROUGH Satan) IN The Heavenly Places. Therefore, TAKE UP The Whole ARMOR OF GOD (GOD Almighty), that YOU (Believers) May BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND, IN The Evil Day (The End Times/The Last Days), and HAVING DONE ALL, TO STAND.

STAND therefore, HAVING GIRDED Your (Believers) Waist WITH TRUTH, HAVING PUT ON The BREASTPLATE OF Righteousness, and HAVING SHOD Your (Believers) Feet WITH The Preparation OF The Gospel of Peace (The Gospel of Jesus Christ); ABOVE ALL, TAKING The SHIELD OF Faith with which YOU (Believers) Will BE ABLE TO QUENCH All The Fiery Darts of The Wicked One (the devil/Satan). AND TAKE The HELMET OF Salvation, AND The SWORD OF The Spirit, which IS The WORD (The Holy Bible) OF GOD (GOD Almighty); PRAYING ALWAYS with All Prayer AND Supplication IN The Spirit, BEING WATCHFUL TO THIS END with All Perseverance AND Supplication FOR All The Saints (Believers).

By: STAN ARNEY

Fellow Believers, let me REMIND YOU (Believers) that John, The Baptist, Our (Believers) LORD Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ’s Disciples and Followers, STOOD Their Ground, when it came to Preaching The Gospel of Jesus Christ, Many (including Jesus Christ) AT The Cost of Their Lives (Their Natural Bodies). They All STOOD Their Ground, when it came to GOD Almighty’s WORD (The Holy Bible) AND ESPECIALLY The Gospel of Jesus Christ. They STOOD Their GROUND, when Man’s Law WENT AGAINST GOD Almighty’s LAW. They STOOD Before Man (Mankind) and TOLD Them (Mankind) EVERYTHING They (Mankind) WERE DOING WRONG, IN GOD Almighty’s Eyes! They TOLD Them (Mankind) that GOD Almighty Will Pass Judgment UPON Them (Unbelievers), IF They (Mankind) did NOT Believe The Gospel of Jesus Christ, IF They (Mankind) did NOT REPENT, IF They (Mankind) did NOT TURN FROM Their (Mankind) Wicked Ways, and ACCEPT GOD Almighty’s FREE GIFT of Salvation.

Well, My Fellow Believers, NOW IT IS Our (Believers) TURN! We (Believers) MUST STAND Our (Believers) Ground! Yes, it’s up to Us (Believers) TO Share The Gospel of Jesus Christ, WITH EVERYONE, Who has Ears to HEAR and Eyes to SEE, The TRUTH. BUT it is also Our (Believers) Responsibility TO STAND Our (Believers) Ground, FOR GOD Almighty’s WORD (The Holy Bible), and Thus GOD Almighty’s Commandments AND Statutes! We (Believers) MUST STAND Our (Believers) GROUND, when Man’s Law Directly Goes AGAINST GOD Almighty’s LAW. We (Believers) MUST STAND Our (Believers) GROUND, BEFORE Man (Mankind) and TELL Them (Mankind) EVERYTHING They (Mankind) ARE DOING WRONG, IN GOD Almighty’s Eyes!

Let’s see how about some examples: Legal Abortion (Legal Murder); “Separation of Church and State” which is NOT written, on ANY of The United States of America’s Founding Documents (The Declaration of Independence, The United States Constitution, OR United States Bill of Rights); Same Sex (Male with Male OR Female with Female) Marriage; The Removal of The Holy Bible FROM Our Schools and Our Government Agencies (including Our Military); The Forbidding of The Mentioning of GOD Almighty OR Jesus Christ, IN Our Schools; The Forbidding of Prayer IN Our Schools, Extracurricular Actives (Sporting Events, etc.), and IN Our Government, for Those who WANT to participate; Forced Legal Transgender Surgery WITHOUT Parental Consent ON Our Children; Forced Transgender Bathroom AND Showers IN Our Schools; Forced Transgender Bathrooms IN All Public Areas; Forbidding Our Children FROM Sharing Holy Bible Scriptures upon Request by fellow classmates; I could go on, but I think this is a good start.

Fellow Believers, Do NOT Be Afraid TO STAND UP For GOD Almighty, PUT ON The Whole ARMOR OF GOD Almighty, and Remember, GOD Almighty, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, GOD Almighty’s Holy Angels, and All The Rest of The Children (Believers) of GOD Almighty, STAND WITH YOU !!!!!!!

"RENDER UNTO CAESAR.....MARK 12:17" - Word of Truth Lighthouse Blog by Julie Cohick

WORD OF TRUTH LIGHTHOUSE

Then JESUS answered and said to them, " Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to GOD the things that are GOD's." And they marveled at HIM.  Mark 12:17

In Matthew 22: 17 thru 21 the religious leaders were testing JESUS and hoped to " entangle HIM in HIS talk " in vs.15 so they did a question and answer session with HIM about taxes. Vs.17 starts - " Tell us, therefore, what do YOU think ? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not ? " But JESUS perceived their wickedness and said, " Why do you test ME, you hypocrites ? Show ME the tax money." So they brought HIM a denarius. And HE said to them, " Whose image and inscription is this ? " They said to HIM, " Caesar's." And HE said to them, " Render therefore unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to GOD the things that are GOD's."

Editor's Note:  Tithing is a controversial teaching in the church today.  I have researched this issue as I do have a heart to give, just no money in which to give with.  God, however, has richly blessed us financially and it never has anything to do with what I give or even if I give anything.  I have no personal income.   When I am blessed financially, I am given very specific information via the Holy Spirit to give back.  I don't ever give to get anything.  I expect and want nothing.  If so, I'd invest in the stock market.  God is not my "bank."  I get blessings of all types that mean more to me than gold and silver.  Tithing is not upheld in the New Testament and IF you study what tithing was, you'd see it was the increase AND it went to the saints, not to greedy pastors.  It is my personal opinion that to support any church or pastor that teaches a lie, intentionally, for whatever reason, then you are supporting a liar.  I have yet to find a true Bible-teaching church in a building.  I pray I do but I've been told to stop looking.  When...and if...I am paid what I am owed, I will give way more than a lousy 10%.  I give whenever I can, however much I can and it's a joy.  Do I get it back? I usually do ($20 showed up in my bank twice for NO reason) or we've saved $100 at the grocery store because of buy one/get one free, not having to go to my new doctor every month but every 2-3 (same with my husband) which saved $200/month, things like that.  I give to God so others can be helped.  He's not my accountant or stock broker.  I do not want money back and He takes care of me regardless.  So what if I COULD get more, I'm fine.  I have everything I need, some of what I want, and I have my friends and family.  I don't have to worry about my bills, my groceries, and I have no worries about us getting our needed health care and medications.  I give little, we have little.  Be happy no matter what and give to give, not get.  I'd rather have my rewards in Heaven than here on earth where they will disappear.  I may be poor financially but funny, I feel extremely wealthy!  I have stability, something I never had in my life before I met Him in truth.

Having said that, IF you are lucky enough to have a good, Bible teaching church, please give.  Don't tithe 10%, give more cos you are so blessed.  Their bills must be paid too.  Be careful and don't line the pockets of false prophets and liars who tickle your ears and care nothing about your salvation.  Don't ever be a party to that.  When YOU ask HIM what HE wants you to do, to who and how much, you will be amazed at what He tells you to do.  It is life-changing.  Don't make God a bank.

THE GREAT COMMISSION by AbaloneKid

THE GREAT COMMISSION

We believe that it is the explicit message of our Lord Jesus Christ to we whom He has saved that we are sent forth by Him into the world even as He was sent forth of His father into the world.

We believe that after we are saved we are divinely reckoned to be related to this world as strangers and pilgrims, ambassadors and witnesses, and that our primary purpose in life should be to make Christ known to the world.

The provision made for precious souls in the gospel of Christ, has not been made in vain; for if some reject, others will thankfully accept the offer. The very poor and low in the world, shall be as welcome to Christ as the rich and great; and many times the gospel has the greatest success among those that labor under worldly disadvantages and bodily infirmities. Christ's house shall at last be filled; it will be so when the number of the elect is completed.

John 17:

18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

Acts 1:

8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me[a] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

2 Cor. 5:

18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

Eph.6:

20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it fearlessly, as I should.

Col.1:20

...and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through the blood of His cross.

Isaiah 55:6-7

""Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon"

THE GREAT COMMISSION

Jesus speaks: "And he said to them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15

Romans 10:

13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”

THE TRUTH ABOUT SPEAKING IN TONGUES? IS IT PROOF?

The Biblical truth on the gift of speaking in tongues.  You cannot twist scripture or make assumptions to fit any doctrine.  Is this gift given today and is it proof of having the Holy Spirit?  Not if you believe in the Bible!  I will be sharing more on this new phenomena.  I like knowing what I say to my God Almighty!  I do not have this gift.  We are saved by grace and grace alone.  We have proof we have the Holy Spirit because the Bible says it is a GIFT upon salvation!  God bless and learn to UNlearn!

GOD'S PRESENCE

God's Presence

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Joshua 1:5

God’s assignment for Joshua might have caused him some concern. Being the successor to Moses was no small task. Through Moses, God had turned the waters in Egypt into blood, parted the Red Sea, destroyed the Egyptian army, and miraculously fed the nation for forty years. God spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai and gave him His law. Joshua must have wondered how he could follow Moses.

To erase any doubt, God assured Joshua that Moses’ accomplishments had all been due to God’s presence. Joshua grew confident because the same God who walked with Moses now walked with him (Josh. l:6).

As you read the accounts of God’s miraculous work through men and women in the Bible, you may wonder if God still performs such miracles today. Be assured that the same God who walked with Moses, Joshua, Elijah, Peter, James, John, and Paul now lives within you. No power can defeat the God who guides you. The God who blessed them is just as capable of working out His purposes through your life. The same God who gave them victory over seemingly invincible enemies, who provided for them when their own resources were insufficient, and who guided them in their decisions, is prepared to work as powerfully in your life today. The heroes of the faith had one thing in common: They were all ordinary people with no power of their own. The difference is the mighty presence of God. Times may change, but the effect of God’s presence remains the same.

Convict Changes Life On The Run…Inside Prison Walls

Bill was adopted by two loving Christian parents who raised him in church. But he could never overcome the feelings of rejection he felt from his birth mother. Bill got involved in marijuana, smoking, started stealing and caused other problems. In high school, Bill was arrested for possession but after that he got even worse. He committed crimes and indulge in cocaine and more arrests followed. After several years of addiction he was put in a maximum security prison where he met gangsters worse than him. He was scared and for the first time prayed to God to save him and asked Him to straighten him up. Then something incredible happened when the Holy Spirit descended upon him…
