June 5, 2017  Thank you for reading my Prophetic Daily Devotionals!   Please visit my website to learn more Bible prophecies being fulfilled in these last days.  Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. For further study - Hebrews 1:1-14 I could hardly wait to get to the book of Hebrews for our devotional thought for today. Now having said that, let's look at the first chapter of this book of the unknown author, unknown but believed by many to be the apostle Paul. That is a debate for another time. We do know that whoever the human author was, he had the entire book "breathed into" him by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the person of the Godhead who inspired the human authors, some 40 of them, over 1,500 years. These men wrote 66 books that have no contradiction and all of the authors speak of the Lord's plan for humankind throughout all the ages. God, in the past, did raise up the ancient Jewish prophets to speak His word to us. But, as the text says, "in these last days has spoken to us by His Son". Our key verse tells us where Jesus is, today. He is now seated at the right-hand of the Father in the 3rd heaven. This is an important truth. It tells us that Jesus is not on His throne, which is yet to come, in an earthly kingdom that will be set up in Jerusalem. This is key to understanding what the future holds for our Lord. His kingdom is yet to come. There is another precious truth in this first chapter of Hebrews. The reading today explains to us that Jesus is so much better than "angels", verse 4. The entire chapter tells us how superior Jesus is to angels who were created by Him. However, there is a blessing for us with the creation of angels, they are all "ministering spirits", sent by the Lord to minister to us who are heirs of the salvation that Jesus provides. These angels are to guard over us, to take us into His presence when we die, and to be "fellow servants" with us in our ministry for Him. By the way, when He does leave the right-hand of the Father to come for us to join Him, the angels will come with Him. I would love to see Him and His angels today. PRAYER THOUGHT: Thank you Lord for dispatching angels to minister to us!

In case you haven't seen my previous posts since I started sharing Luke and Revelation, to save your inbox from being overloaded, I chose to put each one on the same post to save us both time.  He is a great man of God, older and now passed.  The thing I like about his sermons is they are Bible-based and what the Holy Bible says and not in light of the occurrences of events happening today.  That doesn't make them unimportant but if you listen to what he says the Bible tells us, you'll see just how true what he taught was.  What he said would happen (no dates) has either happened, is happening today or we see the "handwriting on the wall" and just how close we are to Christ Jesus's return.  How people can still deny the truth of the Bible absolutely stuns me.  I've loved Jesus since I met Him when I was 6 and never stopped loving and believing in Him.  Oh, how I strayed.  I am a prodigal daughter but I always thought the Bible was a bit vague on end times.  Now, it is clear to me as crystal.  Get grounded in the Word and you will never be deceived by any man.  If you know what God says and trust Him alone, you will spot the lies before you are ever brainwashed into believing their false doctrines.  God bless and PLEASE listen when you have time.  The only changes is the names as he probably never knew who Donald J. Trump was.

NEW BLOG INFORMATION

Jesus Christ sends us out into the world to share the Gospel of Salvation.  I still plan to do my blog and participate in my communities but I've been feeling as though I'm being called to another purpose as well. I want to go out and declare that Jesus Christ is Lord God and Savior.  He is the way, the truth and the life. I want one-on-one connections.  What we do here is awesome but are we reaching the lost or preaching to the choir?  We are to love, guide, lead, support, encourage, chastise and rebuke when needed and do all we can to keep our brothers and sisters from straying. These groups are excellent for that but is there more we should be doing?  The world is not coming to us, people.  Lukewarm and fake Christians who play the hypocrite may but the world is perishing and we're doing nothing.  We've been silent too long and hope that the sinners will somehow find their way into one of our buildings.  That's not how the Bible tells us to do it and I am choosing to obey the Word of God rather than man.

We are so far off-track scripturally that if Jesus Christ returns tonight, I'm terrified we'll be the Laodecian church.  It's time to roar and do what God says and not man.  Get out of your denominational boxes and back to the living Word of God and maybe, just maybe, God can accomplish His Will through us.  Do your blogs, websites, videos and communities.  You are doing a great job as for many, that's the only church we have.  I'm starting a home church, learning sign language, studying the Word and try to make a real difference to the lost but I won't compromise His Word...ever!

If you had to guess, what movie franchise would you say is the most profitable? Marvel would certainly be a safe bet, the studio has been raking in cash for years thanks to entries like The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. Star Wars probably also jumps to mind, with its iconic lightsaber duels and space battles ensuring plenty of packed theaters. Well, this may come as a surprise, but the biggest contender is actually The Fast and the Furious series. Debuting in 2001, the franchise has rolled out seven films with a worldwide gross of over $3,899,849,616, and the series shows no signs of slowing down (pun intended). The secret to their success is pretty straightforward: They give the viewers what they want.

This is important to keep in mind, since the same rule applies to Christian movies. When producer Mark Joseph told Fox News it was time to abandon the term “faith-based film”, his comments were met with no small amount of shock. He later went on to explain,

“‘The term faith-based in an odd term to describe movies— or anything else,’ he said. ‘For most Americans, faith is a normal part of our lives, so it’s only normal that faith is weaved into movies as it’s weaved into most of our lives.’”

“The term scares away both the marginally religious and the irreligious, and it’s a signal to them that the story is going to be preachy and overbearing,”

Joseph’s comments aren’t without merit. Modern films with strong Christian backgrounds, such as Hacksaw Ridge and Queen of Katwe, have found critical and commercial success without resorting to the “faith-based” label. Still, its unlikely producers or marketers will retire the term anytime soon, for the same reason The Fast and the Furious franchise will continue to make movies: They’re giving viewers what they want.

It’s already been noted that most faith-based films are made exclusively by and for Christians. God’s Not Dead 2 had a successful box office run upon release, but only because the audience was made up entirely of Christians. The same holds true for other faith-based movies such as Do You Believe?, I’m Not Ashamed, and Miracles from Heaven. While Joseph was right to say movies don’t need the faith label to portray a Christian testimony, what he failed to understand is that Christians wantthem to have it. “Faith-based” is no longer a term, it’s a brand.

So what does all of this mean for us as Christians? Well, for starters, it proves there will always be a market for Christian films. No matter how much our culture changes, there will still be movies designed to win souls, bolster the faith of believers, and share the name of Jesus, if only because they’re profitable. Secondly, it puts an enormous responsibility on Christian filmmakers to create good films. If we intend to make art which shares the gospel, we should strive to give it our best.

Lastly, we need to step out of our comfort zones and engage the world around us. Jesus commanded his disciples to go into all the world, not stay in clusters and make movies for themselves alone. Media can be a powerful tool for the gospel, but only if we’re willing to take risks. So let us step outside the walls of our heart and discover the stories God has been preparing for us.

MESSAGE TO THE CHURCH

To all pastors, associate pastors, teachers, anyone in the church and to every born-again Christian...

We must stop being silent or whispering, especially for fear of offending this world.  We have become a very politically correct church and we are scared to say the name Christ Jesus in public for fear of being ridiculed, mocked or even persecuted.  Of course if you use His Name in vain, the world loves you but say "Jesus Christ is Lord," you will be laughed at and some may be physically attacked.  Atheists are the angriest people I've ever met.

I use to be that way but I am not ashamed of Christ Jesus.  I don't care what this world thinks.  I just praise the Lord that He found me worthy of being hated for His Name's sake.  Remember, He told us that the world  would hate us because it first hated Him.  He also said if you're ashamed of Him, He will be ashamed of you to the Father.  There's things we can agree to disagree on such as the "timing" of the rapture because there will be one.  We can agree to disagree on the age of the earth.  We don't have to interpret Jeremiah 4:8 perfectly.  However, if you don't have the Gospel of Salvation just right, if you add or take away, you may have a problem.  If you don't believe Jesus is God, neither did the Pharisees and they crucified Jesus Christ.

We have 3 things we MUST do...love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength.  Love others as yourself and spread the Gospel to the world.  He died for us, yet that's all He asks.  So decide, are you going to be silent or roar like a lion?  We are living in very perilous times.  Are we in the end?  I don't know but I feel as if we are.  Roar like a lion but with love and never be ashamed of Jesus Christ.  God bless and spread the Gospel of Christ Jesus in First Corinthians 15:1-11.  Much love in Christ Jesus!

JONATHAN CAHN: AMERICA'S SPIRITUAL CONDITION

I really enjoy Rabbi Cahn.  Do I always agree?  No but nor is there anyone I agree with 100% on the Word of God.  After all, we are just humans and we don't get everything right.  What bothers me the most is that the true Church...the Body of Christ Jesus...is very divided and Jesus said, "A house divided against itself cannot stand."  America is divided and I feel as if we are now under God's divine and righteous judgment.  We should not have denominations.  The Apostles didn't.  They didn't even have churches.  They just gathered together and it was a gathering of believers only, preparing for battle to spread the Gospel to the world.  I'm not sure when "churches" came into being and why we are so divided but I pray for us to reunite.  There are many cults that will not join us and then we'll never be able to be deceived by wolves in sheeps clothing.  It's not too late for America but we MUST repent and turn back to God personally and as a nation.  We are going to fall if we don't and it is up to you.  God sends no one to hell, we choose that for ourselves just as we choose eternal life with Him.  His laws are good laws.  Evil is now called good and good is called evil.  Christian persecution has begun.  We've all encountered mocking and it is going to keep getting worse and worse unless we choose Him.  We were a blessed nation, not perfect, but blessed until the early 60s when prayer was taken out of our schools.  Feminism is another huge problem as is abortion.  We've killed over 50,000,000 unborn children since 1973 when Roe v. Wade was made law.  Atheism is the new religion and half the country hates the 10 Commandments but want to embrace Sharia Law.   Do they not know they behead and stone homosexuals?  There is no court of law by your peers.  You're arrested, tried and executed within minutes.  Women are beaten.  They use their little children as human shields.  Christians are a peculiar people.  We are under no laws except those written in our hearts.  We aren't under the oral law of Moses.  We are only to pick up our cross, deny ourselves and follow Jesus Christ.  His burden is easy and His yoke is light.  Choose that narrow gate that is Jesus Christ.  We are saved by grace and not of our works or actions.  Choose GRACE.  The plan of Salvation is found in First Corinthians 15:1-11.  Believe and trust that Jesus Christ is Lord God and Savior, that He died, was buried and rose in body to save us to Himself for eternal life.  Sure, you can't live for Him and this world but His way, well, it's one amazing and awesome road to take.

“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?”—Luke 6:46

A large, illuminated cross stands erect on Table Rock, a rocky plateau overlooking my hometown. Several homes were built on neighboring land, but recently the owners have been forced to move out due to safety concerns. Despite their close proximity to the firm bedrock of Table Rock, these homes aren’t secure. They have been shifting atop their foundations—nearly three inches every day—causing risk of major water pipes breaking, which would accelerate the sliding.

Jesus compares those who hear and obey His words to those who build their homes on rock (Luke 6:47-48). These homes survive the storms. By contrast, He says homes built without a firm foundation—like people who don’t heed His instruction—cannot weather the torrents.

On many occasions, I’ve been tempted to ignore my conscience when I knew God asked more of me than I had given, thinking my response had been “close enough.” Yet the homes in the shifting foothills nearby have depicted for me that being “close” is nowhere near enough when it comes to obeying Him. To be like those who built their homes on a firm foundation and withstand the storms of life that so often assail us, we must heed the words of our Lord completely. —Kirsten Holmberg

Help me, Lord, to obey You fully and with my whole heart. Thank You for being my firm foundation.

INSIGHT: To fully appreciate Jesus’s comments in Luke 6:46-49, it’s helpful to keep in mind the fuller content of His teachings in this chapter (see vv. 20-49). Luke 6 captures many of the same teachings found in the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5-7)—teachings that are revolutionary in cultures dominated by the powerful and where weakness is looked down on. Jesus invited His followers into God’s reality—where it is those who know their brokenness, the poor and persecuted, who God is especially near to (vv. 20-25), and where strength is demonstrated in forgiving even our enemies (vv. 27-36).A temptation when hearing Jesus’s words is to be moved and inspired without wrestling with the ways His words demand change in our lives. Jesus knew that would be our tendency, and so He emphasizes that an emotional confession (“Lord, Lord,” v. 46) is of no value if we do not obey, if we do not let His words challenge the way we live and what we believe. Can We Trust the Old Testament Prophecies?

The bible records predictions of events that could not be known or predicted by chance or common sense. Surprisingly, the predictive nature of many Bible passages was once a popular argument (by liberals) against the reliability of the Bible. Critics argued that various passages were written later than the biblical texts indicated, because they recounted events that happened sometimes hundreds of years later than when they supposedly were written. They concluded that, subsequent to the events, literary editors went back and "doctored" the original, nonpredictive texts.

But this is simply wrong. Careful research affirms the predictive accuracy of the Bible. For example, the book of Daniel (written before 530 B.C.) accurately predicts the progression of kingdoms from Babylon through the Medo-Persian Empire, the Greek Empire, and then the Roman Empire, culminating in the persecution and suffering of the Jews under Antiochus IV Epiphanes, his desecration of the temple, his untimely death, and freedom for the Jews under Judas Maccabeus (165 B.C.).

Old Testament prophecies concerning the Phoenician city of Tyre were fulfilled in ancient times, including prophecies that the city would be opposed by many nations (Ezekiel 26:3); its walls would be destroyed and towers broken down (Ezekiel 26:4); and its stones, timbers, and debris would be thrown into the water (Ezekiel 26:12). Similar prophecies were fulfilled concerning Sidon (Ezekiel 28:23; Isaiah 23:1;Jeremiah 27:3; Jeremiah 47:4) and Babylon (Jeremiah 50:13, Jeremiah 50:39; Jeremiah 51:26, Jeremiah 51:42, Jeremiah 51:43, Jeremiah 51:58; Isaiah 13:20).

Since Christ is the culminating theme of the Old Testament and the Living Word of the New Testament, it should not surprise us that prophecies regarding Him outnumber all others. Many of these prophecies would have been impossible for Jesus to deliberately conspire to fulfill--such as His descent from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Genesis 12:3, Genesis 17:19); His birth in bethlehem (Micah 5:2); His crucifixion with criminals (Isaiah 53:12); the piercing of His hands and feet on the cross (Psalms 22:16); the soldiers' gambling for His clothes (Psalms 22:18); the piercing of His side and the fact that His bones were not broken at His death (Zechariah 12:10; Psalms 34:20); and His burial among the rich (Isaiah 53:9). Jesus also predicted His own death and resurrection (John 2:19). Predictive prophecy is a principle of Bible reliability that often reaches even the hard-boiled skeptic!

THE ART OF PRAYING

I don't know if you've ever felt this way, that you don't know what to pray an feel that God isn't listening.  Our prayers feel like rituals and meaningless.  We say what we think He wants to hear and we honor Him with our lips but our heart just isn't in it.  We feel like we're in a Spiritual valley, that He has forsaken us or He's just too busy to listen.  BTW, I read a wonderful article from a very credible site that said this is the life of a "normal" Christian.  We have fears, doubts, worries and even question our faith.  I thought it was just me and whenever I felt this way, I was so ashamed and didn't dare want you guys to know I was feeling this so I played the part or else I disappeared because I couldn't be a hypocrite and pretend to be "on fire" when I was anything but.  I also read by the same people on why being "on fire" is not Biblical and is always based on our "feelings and emotions."  Do you walk around happy and just praising God 24/7 every minute of the day, all year round?  If so, be honest and is it real or are you like me, putting on an act and being a real hypocrite?  

First, I don't always "feel" saved.  I know I am and sometimes I feel like such a wretchful sinner that can't get anything right so if salvation and genuine praise is emotions and feelings, wouldn't that be kind of like "salvation schizophrenic?"  If being saved is based on us "feeling" saved, then I'm not a true, born again Christian because I just believe Jesus Christ and the Word of God that tells me I am IF I repent and follow Him.  I am not always happy, on a Spiritual "high" and never once did I buy into this emotional feelings and that unless you actually "felt" the presence of the Holy Spirit and some say the only way you can even have the Holy Spirit is if you speak in tongues and have a secret prayer language.  Well, please tell me where in the Word of God that it clearly or even hints we will speak in a secret language.  I believe that the Spiritual gifts given on the Day of Pentacost was a sign to the Jews and not everyone spoke in known tongues.   Others were given different gifts such as healing, prophecy, discernment of spirits, wisdom and knowledge, etc. but that the GREATEST gift if LOVE. 

I have met many who believe this doctrine and what I've personally seen is that I've been told I don't have this awesome and FREE GIFT of God upon salvation.  BTW, that is not what the Bible says.  Paul is clear that not all speak in tongues and the letters to the church in Corinth was all about the misuse and stunted growth in believers.  They were boastful and proud and used it as a way of telling others they were more mature and/or Spiritual than those who didn't.  Me personally, I was told my very devout Christian grandmother who lived for Him and that verse "ye shall know them by their fruits," speaks volumes about my beloved grandmother.  I heard her curse 2 times in my life.  Now even Christians can't say one sentence without using at least 2-3 curse words in one sentence.  I asked a pastor why he curses and he said to show the unbelieving world that we aren't perfect and will sin. Of course we will but I do not believe that conforming to the ways of a very evil and Godless world is going to teach the true Gospel and watered down Gospels aren't going to save people.  It may make them more tolerant of Christians and they may even give their hearts to God because if I can have eternal security but live as I want, not as He wants, then why not?  I can have everlasting life but sin all I want.  It does not work that way.

If you spread a false Gospel, leave off the wages of sin and teach a different Jesus, even if they accept Jesus Christ immediately, they're not being saved by TRUTH.  Not everyone who says Lord! Lord! will enter into the Kingdom of God.  If you tell a liar, thief, cheater, homosexual, prostitute, sex addict or fornicator, etc. that they're forgven (which is 100% true) but they don't have to turn away from those sins and can continue in them, you're a liar or you make the Bible a lie.  You have to turn away from your lusts and flesh.  You may slip up, we all do, but we cannot willfully continue in sin.   Turning away is true repentance.  

Lastly, the "Sinner's Prayer" is not Biblical at all.  We MUST do 3 things...turn away from sin, obey Jesus Christ's commandments and have a personal one-on-one relationship with our Lord God and Savior, Christ Jesus.  Then we will learn what walking, living, and praying the Spirit REALLY is.  As far as a secret prayer language is concerned, that edifies you and we aren't called to edify ourselves but our brethern and the Body of Christ.  My experience with those who go by this doctrine has hurt me terribly.  I've been told I'm going to hell, my loved ones who've passed are going to hell, I'm way less mature than they are even if I know more than they do about books other than Acts.  I am to live by that book alone.  Paul isn't speaking to me.  I don't need Paul's books.  It almost cost my husband never to attend church.  

I hope this helps and if anyone who believes this doctrine, God is not a respecter of persons. I have been given a different gift.  I've been given a heart of love, a passion for Jesus Christ and I know I'm saved even though I don't "feel" saved 24/7.  I take rest in knowing I'm saved by the Word of God and depends not on how I feel.  I don't know where my beloved earthly churches have gone.   I miss the simple truth that Jesus Christ died, was buried and rose again to save me according to the scriptures. I rest in Jesus's salvation and when I feel sad, lonely or scared, it gives me peace and hope.  Isn't that the true Gospel?  The two greatest commandments are first to love God will your whole heart, mind, strength and soul.  The second is to love others as you love yourself. If you do those 2 things, you have fulfilled the law.  Even Paul says that if you speak in tongues, cast out demons, prophecy, have wisdom and knowledge but have not LOVE, you're just a bunch of noise.  LOVE is the greatest gift.

Today’s Thoughts: Endurance to the End

"For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:" Hebrews 10:36

I turned off my computer and saw a couple of fingerprint marks right in the middle of my screen. I pulled my shirt sleeve over my hand and began to rub the screen. The marks were still there so I used a paper towel and the marks were still there. I grabbed a dish towel and rubbed some more. They were still there but were beginning to fade. I hate to admit it but my wrist began to tire and I had to stop for a moment. I worked diligently for several more minutes to get the fingerprints off my screen. Normally I would not associate this type of task with the word "endurance" but in this case, it took a while to clean my screen. It seems like such a small thing in the big picture. But, in the midst of these kinds of tasks, I sometimes hear the Lord quietly say to me, "Be faithful in (and keep working on) the little things."

We grow in our walk with the Lord by persevering in the day-to-day tasks that require our patience and endurance. The hardest tests of endurance are often disguised as the monotonous tasks in life. I must admit that I seriously considered just how badly I wanted my computer screen clean. Would I settle for just enough to get by, or would I keep going until the spots were gone completely? Sometimes I think that we are faced with the same question when God begins working on our “spots”. Will we persevere with Him? Do we have the endurance to keep going through the hard times?

The writer of Hebrews mentions more than once our need for endurance. We "have need of endurance" to ultimately receive the promises of God. I wonder how often we get to the edge of the promise land and stop walking. There was a reason the Lord kept telling Joshua to go in and take the land that had been given to them. It took endurance and perseverance to keep walking, to keep taking one day at a time, and to stay focused on the goal. From fingerprint smudges to promise lands, the test for each one of us is whether or not we will keep working until the task is finished. The Lord is so good to give us the goal, and He will lead us every step of the way. However, we must be willing to not only step out but also to keep on stepping forward.

Has the Lord given you a glimpse of the promise land He has for you? Do not stop moving towards it. Pray for endurance and perseverance. The training often comes in the little tasks of the day. Take every opportunity to see a job through to its completion and learn how to lean on the Lord for support and guidance. You never know when the day will come that you take that first step into your land of promise.
