The Bible gives us numerous instructions in victorious living in Christ, and pleading "the blood of Jesus" IS NOT ONE. WHY ? Because we have been cleansed by the blood of Christ and He is our High Priest and mediator who" Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them." (Hebrews 7:25). As His sheep we are ALREADY under His protection, we simply need to live day by day trusting in Him for what He has already promised and provided.

Do We Sin? YES. Does Jesus keep us in Him by His blood? YES. Are we to go to our Father daily thru Jesus and confess our sin (s) YES.
Will our broken fellowship and crippled ministry be renewed daily by prayer to our Father through Jesus ? YES. Can we be filled with the Holy Spirit daily for powerful service BY HIS BLOOD? YES!!! It is Jesus our high priest 24/7 who does this ALL for us! 1 John 1:5-10; 1 John 2:1-2

BIBLE BASED TRUTH WE NEED TO HOLD FAST TO

We were bound for judgment of God on our sins and a conscious state lived in some bodily form forever in the Lake of Fire with Satan and his minions and all those who died IN their sins from the beginning! All this you KNOW!

WE BELIEVED THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST(thank God someone shared it with us! )

This was who we were before we believed HIS BLOOD paid the price we could not, for the judgment on all our sins! Let us give Glory to our Lord and Savior! Let us go on in His service that our breaths and the beats of our heart count for Him. Let us be One body, single minded in Christ service, always looking for that precious sure hope, when we, sleeping or living, hear His call to come up. And then, so shall we ever:

BE WITH OUR LORD, PERFECTED IN HIM, AND ETERNAL IN NEWNESS OF SPIRITUAL BODY FOREVER...AND ALL BECAUSE:

BY HIS BLOOD!

Redemption, "to deliver by paying a price." In the New Testament is the record of the fulfillment of the Old Testament types and prophecies of redemption through the sacrifice of Christ. The completed truth is set forth in the three words which are translated "redemption":

(1) agorazo, "to purchase in the market." The underlying thought is of a slave-market. The subjects of redemption are "sold under sin" Rom 7:14 but are, moreover, under sentence of death Ezek. 18:4, Jn.3:18-19, Rom. 3:19, Gal 3:10, and the purchase price is the blood of the Redeemer who dies in our place. Gal. 3:13, 2 Cor. 5:21, Mt. 20:28; Mk. 10:45, 1Tim. 2:6, 1Pet. 1:18.

Gal.3:13
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

(2) exagorazo, "to buy out of the market." We the redeemed are never again to be exposed to sale; Gal.4:5, Col.4:5

(3) lutroo, "to loose," "to set free by paying a price" Jn. 8:32, Gal. 4:4-5, 31; 5:13, Rom. 8:21. Redemption is by sacrifice and by power. Christ paid the price, the Holy Spirit makes deliverance actual in our experience. Rom. 8:2.

BY HIS BLOOD

The blood of Christ is the basis of the New Covenant. On the night before He went to the cross, Jesus offered the cup of wine to His disciples and said, "...This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you." (Luke 22:20).

Not only does the blood of Christ redeem believers from sin and eternal punishment, but "14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (Hebrews 9:14 ). This means that not only are we now free from having to offer sacrifices which are "useless" to obtain salvation, but we are free from having to rely on worthless and unproductive works of the flesh to please God. Because the blood of Christ has redeemed us, we are now new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and by His blood we are freed from sin to serve the living God, to glorify Him, and to enjoy Him forever.

First Corinthians 15:1-4

First  Peter  3:21

Another verse used by those who teach that water baptism is necessary for salvation is 1st. Peter 3:21.  Here the Scripture says,  " The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward GOD) by the resurrection of JESUS CHRIST."   The preceding verse, verse 20, tells of how Noah and his family were saved in the ark.  The verse says,  "...when once the longsuffering of GOD waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water."

There is no difficulty with these verses once you understand the expression,  " The like figure."  The ark was a figure, a type, a picture of Salvation.  That is what the Scripture plainly says.

Noah and his family, saved from the Flood by the ark, is a picture, a figure of our Salvation through CHRIST.  Noah and his family were saved by getting into the ark, not by getting into the water.  They were trusting the ark for their safety, not the water.

The expression in verse 20,  " eight souls were saved by water," does not mean they were saved by being baptized.  As a matter of fact, Noah and his family didn't even get into the water.  They were on the Ark, safe from the water.  All those who got into the water were lost.  They drowned.  The only ones who were saved were those who didn't get wet at all.  How foolish,  then, to take these verses, and try to teach that one is saved by being baptized in water !

One must also keep in mind that the word "saved" here does not mean spiritual Salvation.  It simply has reference to being saved from physical destruction by the Flood.  If you will read the early chapters in Genesis, you will discover that Noah was saved by grace before the Flood ever came.

In verse 21 the Bible clearly says that baptism does NOT put away the filth of the flesh.  It goes on to say that it is simply the answer of a good conscience toward GOD.  The man who is baptized should already have a good conscience toward GOD because his sins are forgiven.  One has a right to be baptized only AFTER his sins are forgiven and he has a good conscience toward GOD.

When the Ethiopian eunuch asked Philip in Acts 8:36,  " See, here is water;  what doth hinder me to be baptized ? "  Philip answered in verse 37,  " If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. "   The eunuch replied,  " I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of GOD. "   Philip then baptized him.

Baptism always follows Salvation.  It never precedes it.  It is always and only, in the words of Peter,  " the answer of a good conscience toward GOD."  The very fact that one is baptized shows that the individual is professing a good conscience toward GOD,  that his sins have already been forgiven.

I've heard of a "gap theory" but I personally have issues with "theories" because they're just best-guesses or opinions.  Take Darwinism or the theory of evolution, for example, science has debunked his theory and each consecutive one.  I like facts, not guesses.  However, I do have questions about creation and it is not a salvation issue.  This is a Bible study, taking a look to see if his thoughts line up with scripture.  He is not teaching doctrine, it's only a study.  Whatever you believe, it should not be a point of contention among Christians as we can agree to disagree.  He is not dogmatic, just offering a possibility.  There are things we just don't know and I too want to know where "Cain got his wife."  I do not endorse or support his thoughts but I don't necessarily disagree with him either!  Listen and make your own choice, remembering, we are saved, not by knowing how God created the earth but rather believing that He did and did it as He saw "good"!  Not necessary for salvation!  A fun and interesting study!  I'd love to hear your thoughts!

JESUS OUR LORD GOD AND SAVIOR SENT BY GOD OUR FATHER FULL OF GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT

THE WORD

Jesus is The Word. He was in the beginning (always was from everlasting time before to everlasting time ahead)

John 1:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Jesus had no beginning! HE WAS. He was already there IN THE BEGINNING!

And the scriptures state: AND THE WORD WAS WITH GOD. This anyone who can read must conclude that " and the Word was with God" means just what it says!

Jesus is separate and distinct from God the Father. We cannot... CANNOT identify Him as God The Father because he WAS WITH GOD!

Then some yahoo will say:

"If he is with God then HE is not God" !!! And that yahoo will sputter and protest when they get this truth next:

"AND THE WORD WAS GOD" !!! A clear declaration that the Lord Jesus Christ IS God!

No true Christian can get rid of the deity of Jesus Christ.

So the WORD was Jesus Christ and He is God!

Furthermore

John 1:
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

He pitched His tent among us! And they that saw Him and touched Him BEHELD HIS GLORY! Jesus brought all the deity with Him! FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH.

Heb.1:
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

John 1:
18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

JESUS IS God in the flesh. He revealed something of GOD as God the Son. (and do NOT forget God the Holy Spirit!) He came to reveal GOD from the heart of GOD. From the bosom OF GOD He came

John 14:
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.

7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

How can we KNOW anything about GOD? By knowing Jesus Christ, God The Son! IN THE FLESH BY HIS WORD because HE IS GOD.

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT

THREE MAKES ONE GOD

That there are distinctions among the three Persons of the Trinity is clear from Scripture.

For example, each Person has a slightly different role in the salvation of mankind:

OUR SALVATION IS BASED ON THE FATHER'S POWER & LOVE

John 3:
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

THE SON'S DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION

1 John 2:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Eph. 2:
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

AND THE HOLY SPIRIT'S REGENERATION IN US AND PERMANENT SEAL MAKING US GOD'S PROPERTY FOREVER!

Eph.4:
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Titus 3:
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

The different tasks the Father, Son, and Spirit perform help inform our understanding of the Trinity.

There is also a voluntary subordination among the Trinity, in that the Father “sent” the Son

John 6:
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eats (believes in) me, even he shall live by me.

The Father and the Son “send” the Spirit.

John 15:
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me:

And the Spirit will “speak only what he hears”.

John 16:
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

CO-EQUAL IN EXISTENCE : DIFFERING MINISTRATIONS

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are, in existence, equal, but they are economically distinct. That is, they have different roles. But each member of the Trinity is God.

The Father is God

John 6:
27 Labor not for the meat which perishes, but for that meat which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

Rom.1:
7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Pet.1

The Son is God

God the Holy Spirit

10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

THE TRINITY IS PERFECT AS ONE

The perfect relationships within the Trinity are difficult to understand, yet they are what all humanity is drawn toward. Perfect love and perfect fellowship exist within the economic Trinity. In His love God draws us into fellowship with Himself. Praise Him for “the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit”

2 Corinthians 13:
14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

CONCLUSION

The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God—but there is only one God. That is the biblical doctrine of the Trinity. Beyond that, the issues are, to a certain extent, debatable and non-essential. Rather than attempting to fully define the Trinity with our finite human minds, we would be better served by focusing on the fact of God's greatness and His infinitely higher nature.

Romans 11:
33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! 34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counselor?

TITHING - AN OLD TESTAMENT LAW AS CHRIST JESUS LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER!

Question: "What does the Bible say about Christian tithing? Should a Christian tithe?"

Answer: Many Christians struggle with the issue of tithing. In some churches giving is over-emphasized. At the same time, many Christians refuse to submit to the biblical exhortations about making offerings to the Lord. Tithing/giving is intended to be a joy and a blessing. Sadly, that is sometimes not the case in the church today.

Tithing is an Old Testament concept. The tithe was a requirement of the Law in which the Israelites were to give 10 percent of the crops they grew and the livestock they raised to the tabernacle/temple (Leviticus 27:30; Numbers 18:26; Deuteronomy 14:24; 2 Chronicles 31:5). In fact, the Old Testament Law required multiple tithes—one for the Levites, one for the use of the temple and the feasts, and one for the poor of the land—which would have pushed the total to around 23.3 percent. Some understand the Old Testament tithe as a method of taxation to provide for the needs of the priests and Levites in the sacrificial system.

After the death of Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law, the New Testament nowhere commands, or even recommends, that Christians submit to a legalistic tithe system. The New Testament nowhere designates a percentage of income a person should set aside, but only says gifts should be “in keeping with income” (1 Corinthians 16:2). Some in the Christian church have taken the 10 percent figure from the Old Testament tithe and applied it as a “recommended minimum” for Christians in their giving. 

The New Testament talks about the importance and benefits of giving. We are to give as we are able. Sometimes that means giving more than 10 percent; sometimes that may mean giving less. It all depends on the ability of the Christian and the needs of the body of Christ. Every Christian should diligently pray and seek God’s wisdom in the matter of participating in tithing and/or how much to give (James 1:5). Above all, all tithes and offerings should be given with pure motives and an attitude of worship to God and service to the body of Christ. “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).
