SIMPLE QUESTION THAT JESUS ASKS PETER...I AM ASKING YOU FOR HIM

Peter, a beloved Apostle to Jesus Christ asked him on "But who do you say that I am?  Today, I'm asking you, Jesus Christ walked on this earth, no doubt.  So I'm asking you...each of you...who do you say that Jesus Christ is?  God bless.

I say the Jesus Christ is Lord God and Savior...the Son of the Living God!

MIRACLES - LIFE CHANGING TESTIMONIES (VIDEO)

Do you believe in miracles?  Do you even know what a true miracle is?  I've witnessed my sister being given 2 great years of quality life (still cancer-free) so yes, I see that as a miracle, especially in how she got into the last possible spot in a clinical trial.   Is she physically healed indefinitely?  That remains to be seen but the first thing I prayed for, and she did, was she got saved.  That's an eternal miracle!  What about what would have happened if you hadn't been delayed a few minutes or what if you felt you should turn right but thought you knew best but still turned right.  Were you saved from a tragedy?  I don't know but I do know of 2 instances in my personal life where, even in a backslidden state, where I felt the Holy Spirit telling me what to do and all I can say is that it sure seemed miraculous to me.   Our moving to Florida after 7 months of praying when we received a check for $2300 5 minutes after our electricity was turned off and we moved that day and after 3 years of unemployment in N.C., He was employed making a living wage within 4 days and things continue to get better.  It's been hard at times, that's life, but our life is now stable.  That is a miracle. Oh, I could give tons of accounts but miracles don't have to be huge, sometimes the miracle is His perfect timing.  Listen to the Spirit, look at His timing in answering prayers and even consider what could have happened had you not listened.  Miracles?  They happen all the time but unless you choose to see them, you'll miss them  Enjoy and God bless you.

THE NEW, TRULY CONFUSED EVANGELICALS BY ERIC BARGER

While I have not listened to this entire series, I have heard some and while I don't know if I agree with him on everything, I know I do in part.  When I strayed and left the church and returned, I've wondered where the church (buildings) went and why do I feel like I've been to a concert or a good movie rather than attending a service of Worship.  Maybe I'm old-fashioned but seeing people convulse, scream, bark/howl, run amuck and are so irreverent in church that it shocks and stuns me.  "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord..." is a great thing but I don't remember ever going to a church service where I left feeling "good" about my sinful and backslidden lifestyle.  I felt pretty bad.  Ultimately, I made the right decision.  So, I'm sharing this and let you listen and decide for yourself.  I love being around Spiritually happy people that love worship and praising Him but I truly feel it should be respectful, in awe and reverent.  I miss Amazing Grace and How Great Thou Art.  I love those beautiful songs!  All parts are included that are available today!

JESUS - THE LOST 40 DAYS FROM THIS HISTORY CHANNEL

Sure, this is a secular television shows but if you think they are saying Jesus did NOT resurrect from the grace, you are so wrong.  Again, science is PROVING God.  For Jesus Christ to appear first to a woman back then is one of THE proof-positive recording in the Bible.  Women were not respected and thought of as "less than men."  This is very interesting and listen closely, faith building!  It does deal some with the "Shroud of Turan" which seems to uphold the Biblical account!  Praise God!

FEAR VS. FAITH

Feeling afraid? Is fear keeping you in bondage? Do you want to change?
Certain Christians circle back again and again to the same place of fear or anxiety, whether it relates to their health, their family, their finances, or whatever else may be troubling them. Some fear may be natural and acceptable. But living in fear because you refuse to move on is another matter: it is sin. A person can have a sinful fear habit just as surely as an immorality habit or a drunkenness habit.
If you have a fear habit, letting go of your fear and trusting God completely might seem like an impossibility. However, it is possible to substitute faith for the anxiety and the worry you are presently feeling.
Disbelief of God is a sin, and non-Christians are not the only ones who have a problem with this sin.
Though we are saved, we Christians, too, may doubt God’s promises to care for us. Such disbelief lies at the root of our ungodly instances of fear.
It is a truism that most of what we fear never comes to pass. And even when bad things do happen (certainly people do face some serious problems sometimes), God is still in control. This is when we need the faith to believe that God is in control. There is no cause to give in to fear.
You might not describe your problem as fear. You might think worry or anxiety describes it better. Sometimes you might not even be sure what you are anxious about. Or, you might have feelings of apprehension that do not rise to the level of fear, though they are troublesome enough. Persistent worry or anxiety is another condition that Christians need not and should not live with.
Life is a day-by-day affair. We do not know all that will happen in the future—but we do not need to. God will be with us in the future just as surely as He is with us in the present. Our part is to develop our trust in Him, leaving fear and anxiety behind in the process.
Do you want more faith that the Lord is near to you for help? If so, you are not alone in that desire. With the Spirit’s supernatural enabling, you can be a person of greater faith and you can shed your fear habit for good. Let the healing in this area of your life begin now.

ROMANS 8:28

This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible in that I see it in a Spiritual light but I've seen this happen many times in my "natural life."  The scripture says...

"For as we know, all things work to the good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purposes."

This is to open up an open and honest dialogue with you and try to make you think.  I was told this referring to us going to Heaven and I  can definitely see that but I've seen it happen time and again in my life here on earth.  I'd love to hear how this verse has affected, changed or built up your faith.  I'm trying to write some articles as a free lance writer and I could sure use your help.  If you have thoughts or stores to share, contact me at the following email address and please share.  God bless you all.

POLL - DO YOU THINK AMERICA IS A JUDEO/CHRISTIAN NATION?

I am hoping to write an article to submit for publication but I need some statistics and am begging you for help.  It has nothing to do with politics nor no matter what your answer is, I will not be making any judgments.  I absolutely welcome any comments on why you feel the way you do and if you want them included in my article, I need your express permission in an email which is where I am asking you to just answer yes or no and comment IF you so choose.  Here's the situation....

Back when Barak Obama was POTUS, he made an announcement that the United States wasn't a Christian nation.  However, one of the reasons we broke away from England was for freedom to worship as we so choose...or not...without fear of persecution or forced worship of ANY faith by the government.  You can say "Freedom OF Religion" or "Freedom FROM Religion" but our laws were made based on the 10 Commandments.  We can't murder, steal, etc. and some are just a moral code of what was expected from citizens in order to live in harmony with others.  Lying isn't a crime unless you're under oath but who likes being lied to?  While gossip isn't mentioned, gossip kills, steals and destroys relationships, marriages, families, careers.  It ruins your reputation.  We shouldn't gossip be it the truth or not because we don't know why our friend was in a strip bar one night.  Maybe it was to get their under-age child out of there.  Cheating isn't criminal but can lead to crime.  If you don't honor your parents, regardless of their worthiness of honor, you will have constant issues respecting authority in your life and can cause you to lose jobs, friends, spouses and cause great division in families.  Now, keeping the Sabbath is one that on the surface sounds unneeded but God made the Sabbath for  man, not man for the Sabbath.  We all need a day of rest.  We feel renewed.  It's a good thing to do and was never about worship but rest.  We just need to bring Him honor while enjoying our day.  Go out and have fun, just don't disrespect Him.

JIMMY DeYOUNG'S PROPHETIC PROSPECTIVE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Prophecy Today Devotions

June 22, 2017
Jimmy DeYoung
Thank you for reading my Prophetic Daily Devotionals!

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

For further study - I Peter 5:6-13

Our devotional reading for today starts with the exhortation to be vigilant in light of the reality that the devil is loose and seeking to devour each of us. Don't let any one tell you that the Devil has been "bound". He will be "bound" when Jesus comes back to the Earth, Revelation 20:1-3. Notice James 4:7 for the way to have victory over the Devil.

The extended reading for today ends with a salute from the church, which Peter had started in the city of Babylon. Peter had been obedient to Jesus who said to go to the "ends of the earth" with the gospel. He went to Babylon to start a church.

From the outset, let me tell you that I believe Peter was truly in the literal city of Babylon when he wrote this passage of scripture. I do not believe that the use of the term "Babylon" is a code name for the city of Rome. I do not ever remember Peter being cryptic with his words in written or spoken form.  Babylon is Babylon.

The fact is that Babylon was the second most populated city in the world at the time Peter wrote this epistle. Jerusalem was the most Jewish populated city with Babylon a close second.

What this means of course is that the literal city of Babylon on the Euphrates River, then in Mesopotamia, was still alive, a vibrant city, over 500 years after the fall of the Babylonian Empire. In Peter's day, Babylon was a thriving city. In fact, even today Babylon is still a city inhabited. In recent days there was a military compound there called Camp Babylon.

With this information, and the knowledge of Bible prophecy that the city of Babylon must be destroyed and never lived in again, one has to realize that Bible prophecy found in Isaiah 13-14Jeremiah 50-51, Revelation 18:10,17,19 and Revelation 16:17-21 all state that Babylon, the literal city, must be destroyed and never lived in again - forever. These prophecies have not been fulfilled.

The conflict going on today in modern-day Iraq is setting the stage for all the aforementioned prophecies to be fulfilled - and soon.

PRAYER THOUGHT: Help me to understand current events in light of Biblical prophecy.

THE BAD EYE? BY JESUS.ORG - YOUR QUESTIONS, REAL ANSWERS!

Quote of the Day
"Even under grace it does matter what you do with your life. Don't waste your life is the message of God to us."
~John Barnett (from "don't waste your life?")
Today's Answer
The Bad Eye?
John Piper
What does the bad eye refer to in Matthew 20:15? It refers to an eye that cannot see the beauty of grace. It cannot see the brightness of generosity. It cannot see unexpected blessing to others as a precious treasure. It is an eye that is blind to what is truly beautiful and bright and precious and god-like. It is a worldly eye. It sees money and material reward as more to be desired than a beautiful display of free, gracious, God-like generosity.
That is exactly what the bad eye means in chapter six of the Sermon on the Mount. And that meaning gives Matthew 6:22 a perfect fitness between a saying on true treasure (Matthew 6:19) and the necessity of choosing between the mastery of God and the mastery of money (Matthew 6:24).
So the flow of thought would go like this: Don't lay up treasures on earth, but lay up treasures in heaven. Show that your heart is fixed on the value that God is for you in Christ. Make sure that your eye is good not bad. That is, make sure that you see heavenly treasure as infinitely more precious than earthly material treasure. When your eye sees things this way, you are full of light. And if you don't see things this way, even the light you think you see (the glitz and flash and skin and muscle of this world) is all darkness. You are sleepwalking through life. You are serving money as a slave without even knowing it, because it has lulled you to sleep. Far better is to be swayed by the truth--the infinite value of God.
So if you are emotionally drawn more by material things than by Christ, pray that God would give you a good eye and awaken you from the blindness of "the bad eye."
