HEBREW WORD OF THE DAY
Today's word is....SOUP. Yum! Comfort food. Chicken soup is so good when you're sick and vegetable soup takes me back to my favorite left-over dinner. I LOVE my homemade veggie soup. I love my chicken soup but...not as much. Remember the books "Chicken Soup for the Soul?" I love those books. Awesome stories, so heart-warming and inspirational. Cuddle up on the couch on a winter's night, snowing and cold, covered up with your favorite blanket, wearing your warmest jammies, eating soup and reading a good book. Peace...perfect time and place. You're taken to a land far, far away and for an hour, no worries, fears or troubles. God gives us those moments and they're so rare but they shouldn't be. We should take one hour each day for ourselves. Pray, meditate on His Holy Word, read His Word, read a good book. Take yourself away from the harshness of the world for a short time. We need to be refreshed. Take care of your Spirit and then you can take care of others. It's not selfish, it's self-less. God bless and rest.

Here is your sermon for today. I hope you enjoy. I haven't had a chance to listen yet but I am well acquainted with him and I know he's a true man of God so I can share without first hearing for myself. I've decided to screen and research some of my posts (sermons, etc.) to make sure they are spoken by the Word of God alone. I don't want to spread a false prophet but if I do, please be my true sibling in Christ Jesus and love me enough to let me know immediately so I can check him out. I'm sort of a wee bit determined to expose these dangerous doctrines and hopefully bring people out of deception. I got trapped into 2 of the worst cults or cult-like churches today and one was sure trying but by the Grace of God, I was very familiar with their beliefs and I tried to help him learn the truth but he refused to give up their publication as THE authority and their version of the Bible so all I can do is pray. I am in contact with him but I won't discuss his beliefs but if I don't, he doesn't seem interested in talking. BTW, that's a clue you are dealing with a cult, when they don't want to or are not allowed to have friends outside their beliefs. Be my eyes as I'm human and make mistakes. However, be aware that some things I share are not to teach but to make you aware of the lies and that they are false prophets. Please don't jump to conclusions if I share something so far off the Bible because it's to show you how subtle and deceptive these people are. Oh, they appear as harmless as doves and a huge problem with these cults is they do tell you some amazing facts (hint, hint) that ARE true. They'll amaze you with information that you are enthralled, you want more, more and more. That's when the lie starts. They slip it in unnoticed and unless you are really grounded in the Word of God, you will accept it as fact and not give it another thought. Oh, and one uses the Bible, the Word of God and what they read to you is 100% dead on but, they leave off the rest of the verse that does NOT uphold their POV. Also, be wary of any denomination that uses man-made publications and prophets or prophetesses to uphold their doctrine. In the OT, apparently there were a lot of false prophets so God gave the Jews a law that says if someone speaks a thing in my name and it does not happen, it is not for me. He is to be stoned to death. Sounds harsh, I know but I betcha it stopped that nonsense. I'm glad for many we aren't under that law today but Jesus Christ told us clearly how to not be deceived. He warned us and told us what to do. Search the scriptures, test ALL spirits, by His Holy Word. Put on the full armour of God, take up the sword (Word of God) and KNOW the Gospel of Salvation by heart. Paul said, "If I, an angel or any man teach you a different Gospel or different Jesus Christ, let me be accursed." Do not mess with His Word. It will not end well for you. Besides, why put yourself under the law when Grace is how we are saved? We are free, not under bondage of the law. Are we under the 10 Commandments? Some say yes, others no, some not sure. I don't know, I don't care. I love those commandments and I do my best to obey them. I fall short but it's my guide. Under them or not, they can't save me but obeying them and accepting Christ does. IMPORTANT INFO
I try very hard not to share false prophets, etc. on my blog. However, I do sometimes unaware and if you notice that, I appreciate being alerted ASAP. I found out today I had "Pastor Rick" on here and he has been removed because it came from a highly reliable and credible source whose judgment I trust. Just because I share a particular sermon, article, etc. UNLESS it's by DR. J. VERNON MCGEE, I am in no way endorsing that preacher, pastor, etc. I share it because I believe that what they say here is of value but not necessarily for the "good." Please read my comments before thinking I in any way agree with what they say as often I post a sermon to prove how WRONG and UNBIBLICAL they really are. For example, IF I shared anything by Benny Hinn, Joel O'Steen, Joyce Meyer, Kenneth Copeland, to name a few, or from what is called by most or all mainstream Christian denominations as a "cult," I'm sharing it to make you aware of just how deceptive they can be. I cannot stress this enough, get grounded in the Word of God (and McGee's "Through the Bible Series" is a great way and listening to him will protect you from being deceived) because they come at you harmless as doves with all these wonderful, AMAZING FACTS, and the problem is, a lot of them ARE true. They wrap that lie very well in truth. It's my duty to you to expose these false churches, false prophets and lies, especially when they pervert the Gospel or the Word of God in any way. I post them to alert you to the lies, to wake you up, get grounded and BE YE NOT DECEIVED. I was unfortunately, deceived by 2 of THE most dangerous cults known to Christendom. It will send you into a Spiritual downfall so fast and getting undeceived can take months or even years! I was so blessed to have Chaim and Julie who worked tirelessly and for months to get me back on the right path. Had it not been for them AND the fact that I was raised in the truth from birth, I don't know where I would be today.
If I seem harsh or over-critical, judgmental, let me assure you that I am NOT any of those things. I'll be the first to admit I don't know it all. I know the Gospel, the plan of salvation, that we are under grace and not the law, I know that Jesus Christ is that narrow gate that leads to everlasting life. I know that we are to follow Jesus Christ and not man. Be a good Berean. If I or anyone else tells you something, do what they did (the Bereans) and search the scriptures DAILY or as often as needed, and test them by what God says. If it does not align with scripture, it is false. Don't test a few things but ALL things. You want to know what tipped me off quickly before I got too deeply invested...that Jesus Christ was the Archangel Michael. Read Jude 1:9 and that verse alone tells you that that's no so in 2 very clear ways. Bible.org and Christianity.com are 2 excellent, credible sites to fact check and to see if what you're being taught by a new denomination is considered a cult or cultish (cult-like). CARM.org (or .com, I forget) is a very good site to teach you how to rightly defend your faith and beliefs when confronted by one. I will say straight out that the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) and Jehovah's Witnesses are both considered cults and not cultish. The Pentacostal church is considered cult-like but not a cult. Mormons are cults as is Scientology and Christian Science (NOT to be confused with scientists who are Christians). There's a new one, an off-shoot of the United Pentacostal Church called "Word of Faith" that is a cult and is also known as the "Wealth and Prosperity Gospel" taught by the likes of Joel O'Steen, Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, et al. Faith healings are also false and prey on the most needy and desperate. One man was promised he'd be healed at the age of 15 of Cerebral Palsy and when he wasn't, they they told him it was his own fault because he didn't trust Jesus Christ enough. He wasn't "worthy" of being healed. He was raised in the faith, strong believer and he didn't blame God, he blamed himself. He thought for a long time he couldn't ever be saved because God found him "unworthy." Aren't we ALL unworthy? Is there one among us who has earned their way to Heaven? Hardly. GRACE...all about GRACE. Abraham BELIEVED GOD and it was counted to him as righteousness. So even in the Old Testament, it was never about the law of Moses but by the GRACE OF GOD that saved you.
Lastly, how many church-goers attend a church that tithing is NOT taught? I don't see any hands raised. I've never been to one. In fact, they start out with that and I hear it 3-4 times throughout the sermon (funny how they can talk about the Serpent on the Stick and somehow put tithing into it) but tithing they teach. I plan on making a post soon, I have much research, prayer and being a good Berean to do first because I want to leave no doubt that what I say is 100% Bible based on God's Holy Perfect Word. Oh, and anyone who reads this and can find a pastor that doesn't teach you are required to tithe, you've just found a Bible-preaching-only man of God. We are to give yes, but cheerfully. We should never use God as our stock broker. You want your credit card debt gone, pay your bill and stop using it. God is not going to approve of you stealing to make some man rich who brags about how much money he has while his flock is starving Spiritually and physically. Even if we were required to tithe, they do not use your tithes the way the Bible demands you do. Also, it's only required when we are under a Levitical priest and we are not. We are under a royal priesthood but Jesus Christ is NOT a Levitical priest. If so, then we may be but He's not. Churches that preach the tithing truth, they get an average of 22% from their flock, over twice as much as those who preach we must "thithe 10%. The truth is always the best way. GIVE ALL YOU CAN. IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. God looks at many ways of giving and money is the root of all evil. What about time, support, listening, helping someone old or disabled carry bags? Do you not think that counts? If not, then why did Jesus tell us in no uncertain terms, "be careful how you treat strangers as you may be entertaining angels unawares." Do angels come down in human form to see exactly how we treat others, especially the down-trodden? That, I don't know. It could be literal or metaphorical but I do know this, God knows what you do. You can't hide from Him. You can't lie to Him. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If you love me, as your sister in Christ and know I am being deceived and NOT do anything, you are a stumblingblock in my path. Love DOES hurt sometimes. I do love you and I don't want anyone to endure the Spiritual disaster I went through so when I see it, I'm going to make you aware. What you do with that information is between you and God but be it me or someone else, God's the final say.
Love me, hate me for this, your choice but one promise I make, if I can't make a strong case for what I say by the Word of God, I refuse to have my say but if I can, I will always stand for His Word.
