WORD OF TRUTH LIGHTHOUSE BLOG

If you are like me sticky notes have become a way of life. My calendar also is full of reminders of things I have to do, birthdays, Dr. appointments, dog grooming appointments and the like. I'm sure most young people reading this cannot identify with the use of sticky notes or calendars as reminder tools because they are so well versed in Smart phones, I-Pads or I-Pods.  My husband and I are "Old School" and we do just fine without the most updated methods used by others and by what I have heard we save a ton of cash by not having or using them !!!

GOD in HIS great wisdom also knew that we would need a lot of reminding when it came to the "last days" that we are currently in. There are many places that identify as " written to stir up your pure minds by way of reminder," but we are going to start in 2nd Peter 3:1 thru 14 wherein Peter, inspired by the HOLY SPIRIT, reminds fellow Christians, True Born Again Believers, of the mockery that would go on in these last days. --

CONCERNED ABOUT CERN

I've been hearing a lot of weird things about CERN but I am woefully ignorant about what it is and does.  I'm sharing for those who do and just wondering, what are we doing really?

Too Many Neighbors

By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
John 13:35

Luke 10:25-37
When the pictures, problems, and questions of hundreds of people scroll across our social media accounts, it is difficult to discern when and where to lend a hand. The man questioning Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?” was hoping for a boundary that would allow him to write off a group of people as undeserving of his love. As Christians who have experienced the generosity of God, the story of the Good Samaritan invites us to ask Him, “Who are You calling me to love?”

Instead of feeling inadequate or scared that God may call us to a grandiose gesture on behalf of a stranger, we can confidently await His guidance. Small acts of kindness build momentum in our own lives and in the lives of those we serve. A mustard seed becomes a towering tree. As we practice giving and receiving, our capacity for both expands. Although our gifts and impact may seem small, God delights in expanding them. Just as Jesus multiplied the fish and loaves after asking the disciples to feed the hungry crowd, He will provide all you need to do what He calls you to.

Do not waste time bothering whether you “love” your neighbor; act as if you did.
