LOVE YOUR ENEMIES? REALLY???

Love your enemies?

Really?

Is God kidding?

Why does God say, “Love your enemies…”?

What does it mean to love your enemies?

Read these 13 Top Bible Verses-Love Your Enemy …

Luke 6:27

“But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

Matthew 5:44

… Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Romans 12:19-21

Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 12:14

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.

Luke 6:27-31

“But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

Matthew 5:46

For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?

Matthew 5:47

And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?

Luke 6:35

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

Mark 12:31

‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself…”

Proverbs 25:21-22

If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you.

1 John 3:16

By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

Matthew 5:38-48

“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you. …

GOD'S PROMISES - WHEN YOU FACE GRIEF (SHORT VIDEO)

To me, grief is one of the hardest things we ever have to face.  It's so hard to know what to say to others who are going through the loss of someone they love, even our pet babies.  Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing but rather just be there.  Words, no matter how heartfelt and sincere, are always bitter.  If you need anything...well, what they "need" is for their loved one to be back.  Pray with them and for them.  If they need talk, just listen.  You cannot fix the problem but we know Someone who can.  Trust God and when they're ready, if they aren't saved, gently lead them to the Cross to the One who can comfort them and dry their tears.

LIKE A DOVE

Like A Dove

by unashamedojesus
And the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased." Luke 3:22
Why did the Holy Spirit descend in the form of a dove? Was this a prophetic sign from God?

In Hebrew the meaning of the name Jonah is Dove. There was a reason the Spirit came down in the form of a dove, it was a prophetic sign from our Heavenly Father about the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth Matthew 12:40

Jesus prophesied about this later also in his ministry. He mentions Jonah who spent 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of the whale. Jesus was prophesying about his death and spending 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of The Earth. Just as Jonah rised out of the whale after 3 days and saved Nineveh, Jesus rose from the grave and conquered death and sin.
Just as the dove left Noahs Ark and returned to send the message that the world has been saved (Genesis 8:11) Jesus has saved the world from our sins, look for the signs from our Heavenly Father in Jesus name Amen

Will We Follow?

The Gospel of Mark opens without fanfare—certainly nothing befitting literary greatness. There is no lofty imagery like the Gospel of John, no impressive genealogies like the Gospel of Matthew, and no historical narrative like the Gospel of Luke. Instead, Mark flashes rapidly through events that build on one another. John the Baptist’s prophecy is followed by short summaries of Jesus’ baptism and His temptation by Satan. After calling His first disciples, Jesus begins healing and preaching both near and far—all within the first chapter. The unadorned, clipped prose communicates something urgent.

Mark’s narrative captures the coming kingdom that will erupt with a power only some can see. It imparts a sense of urgency to those who know they are needy.

Mark portrays the advancing kingdom through the person and work of Jesus, who draws people. The crowds at Capernaum seek Him out (Mark 2:2), as do those marginalized by society (Mark 1:40; 2:3). Although Jesus seeks to keep His movements hidden and warns the leper to conceal the miracle of his healing, the exact opposite occurs. The leper opts to “proclaim it freely and to spread abroad the account” (Mark 1:45). When Jesus secludes Himself in deserted places because of His fame, the crowds come at Him “from all
directions” (Mark 1:45). Even roofs are removed to gain access to Him (Mark 2:4)

While some question His authority, others respond with radical allegiance. Jesus’ simple, direct call to Levi the tax collector, “Follow me!” requires nothing less. Jesus came for lepers and paralytics, to sinners and tax collectors—those who are sick and in need of a physician (Mark 2:16). He came for us—those who know our desperate need—and reversed our fate. With unfettered truth, Mark presents us with the opportunity for the only healing response: Will we follow?

Are you following Jesus with total allegiance? What is holding you back?

ISAIAH 53:7 AND INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE BOOK OF ISAIAH

I've missed a few days and for those who are memorizing this "5th Gospel" chapter of Isaiah with me, I apologize.  I take Sundays off now and some days I don't have as much time as I'd like. But before we go any further, I want to share some information on this very special and meaningful Book in the Bible.  I get this from my Bible that gives us some information on the different books.  Isaiah is unique and here's some info...

Isaiah is like a miniature Bible.  The first 39 chapters (like the 39 Books of the Old Testament) are filled with judgment upon immoral and idolatrous men.  Judah has sinned; the whole earth has sinned.  Judgment must come, for God cannot allow such blatant sin to go unpunished forever. But the final 27 chapters (like the 27 Books of the New Testament) declare a message of hope, the Messiah is coming as a Savior and a Sovereign to bear a cross and to wear a crown.

Isaiah's prophetic ministry, spanning the reigns of four kings of Judah, covers at least 40 years.

Yeshu 'yahu and its shortened form Yeshaiah mean "Yahweh is Salvation."  This name is an excellent summary of the contents of the book.  The Greek form in the Septuagint is Hesaias, and the Latin form is Esaias or Isaias.

Isaiah 53:7

"He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet he opened not His mouth:  He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not His mouth."

Gospel of Salvation by Grace

SONG BY DALLAS HOLM

The Blood Was Red...

God Bless You, Dallas and Everyone!

I was blessed to see him twice in concert and, unlike today, all it cost me was a whopping minimum of 2 cans of food for the local food bank.  He took up donations but that was optional.  Even his book was free and he did an altar call.  Unlike these new groups that charge a small fortune to hear them sing, I feel Mr. Holm's thoughts were more like freely given, freely give.  Just like the great old hymns, his songs still speak the truth today.  Maybe I just am too old school and not into the new "wealth and prosperity" that too many preach today and many compromise the Word of God.  He is an amazing preacher that teaches the true Gospel of Christ Jesus and is simply an inspiration.  The first song I heard by him was "I'll Rise Again," was so beautiful and I fell in love with Jesus Christ all over again.  If you ever get a chance to see him as he does occasionally perform at churches, do yourself a HUGE favor and go.  You will not be sorry and even if it costs 3 cans of food, it's worth a couple of bags.  God bless you all and pray that people come back to hear the true Gospel soon.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IN US BIRTHS THE LIVING CHRIST THROUGH US

By AbaloneKid

James 4:10
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.

Matt. 23:
12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

CHRIST OUR LIFELONG EXAMPLE

Philippians 2:
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

13 For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

14 Do all things without murmurings and disputes:

15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain.

Ephesians 4:
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

2 With all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love;

3 Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

EXCHANGING TRUTH FOR A LIE - BY JULIE COHICK

Word of Truth Lighthouse

Romans 1:18-25   " For the wrath of GOD is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which may be known of GOD is manifest in them; for GOD hath showed it unto them. For the invisible things of HIM from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even HIS eternal power and GODhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew GOD, they glorified HIM not as GOD, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

PLEASE PARTICIPATE IN MY BIBLE TRIVIA

Happy Wednesday and have a happy, safe and blessed day.  Take the time to see God's beauty in the world.  I know it's not always easy to find but it's there.  Use your Spiritual eyes, not your physical ones.

Now, I'm very discouraged and a little disappointed.  I seem to be getting some views but no one is participating in my Bible Trivia.  As I've said, I really want to either add a page or start a new blog of Bible Trivia.  I learned so much playing that on Christianity.com but the main problem with that game is the questions are asked multiple times and there's never an end, even though it says 50 to 240 questions.  On mine, there won't be so many and will range from beginner to expert.  I want to do this but it will take a considerable amount of time and research and if you're not interested, I'd rather find something else.

So, I'm begging you to please take a few seconds to answer this one simple question.  I need to know how many will play.  If you're not interested, that's fine, I won't do it but I'm not going to give up until I know for sure because this is a baby blog. So, please take the time.  I've only had 2 so far and one is me.  It is underneath the video on the right-hand side and beneath a on/off switch.  I hope you will but I am really happy that you're looking at my blog. It is to spread the Gospel to the lost and to the glory of God.

God bless all and much love in Christ Jesus!

Cain and Abel...

God Bless You All and Much Love in Christ Jesus

I must admit that I chose this for a reason, the story of Cain and how he slew Abel.  Am I being political?  Yes.  Tim Kaine, the VP choice for Hillary Clinton slew Abel.  If you do a search on the names of the leaders of the world today at www.BehindtheName.com, taking into consideration that in the Bible only first names were used and their names always were significant.  Check out what Hillary, Donald, Vladmir, Benjamin, Raphael (Ted Cruz's real name) and Micheal (Pence) means and you will find an interesting pattern.  BTW, Timothy Kaine is taking on the Roman Catholic Church (and we know how powerful that institution is and what many believe to be true) allow gay marriage.  That takes a lot of guts or extreme stupidity!!!
