SORRY ABOUT THAT

I posted that last one too fast.  It seems to be about flat earth and links us believing in that for salvation.  I fear it's false doctrine so I took it down.  The Gospel message is First Corinthians 15:1-4, the Cross.  That's salvation.  Please forgive me.

WHAT WE BRING BACK - OUR DAILY BREAD

I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.— Psalm 37:25
John F. Burns spent forty years covering world events for The New York Times. In an article written after his retirement in 2015, Burns recalled the words of a close friend and fellow journalist who was dying of cancer. “Never forget,” his colleague said, “It’s not how far you’ve traveled; it’s what you’ve brought back.”
Psalm 37 could be considered David’s list of what he “brought back” from his journey of life, from shepherd to soldier and king. The psalm is a series of couplets contrasting the wicked with the righteous, and affirming those who trust the Lord.
“Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither” (vv. 1-2).
“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand” (vv. 23-24).
“I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread” (v. 25).
From our experiences in life, what has God taught us? How have we experienced His faithfulness and love? In what ways has the Lord’s love shaped our lives?
It’s not how far we’ve traveled in life, but what we’ve brought back that counts. —David C. McCasland
Dear Lord, thank You for walking with me throughout my life. Help me to remember Your faithfulness.
As the years add up, God’s faithfulness keeps multiplying.
INSIGHT: Psalm 37 is an extended antidote to anxiety, even when there seem to be many reasons to fear. The psalm, sometimes classified as a wisdom psalm because of its insight into the realities of life, invites believers to have trust, peace, and contentment (vv. 3, 5, 7) even when it seems that evil has the upper hand (vv. 1, 7, 12, 14). We find peace through looking deeper than external appearances like wealth (v. 16). Evil may have power for a time, but it is self-defeating. It cannot last forever (vv. 10, 20, 22). It’s better to live with Him, who picks us up when we fall and holds us by the hand (vv. 23-24), than to surrender to evil (v. 16). A life with God means true peace, now and eternally (v. 18). PERSONAL NEWS - GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS AND IS ALIVE AND WELL TODAY

Would you please join me in my celebration today? I just got some awesome news from my sister, who 3 1/2 years ago was diagnosed with Stage 4 (the very worst) metastatic lung cancer (non-large cell carcinoma) to the brain and she had her final MRI today and 100% cancer-free! At diagnosis, she was given maybe 8 months to live and 7 of those would have been pure misery. I know God healed her but before having the brain tumor removed (which was so large and growing so rapidly) that they scheduled surgery for 2 days later. It was in the best possible place IF one must have a brain tumor in that it did not affect anything and was pain-free immediately afterwards. I first prayed for God to save her and right after her surgery, she told me she got saved. I thought it was a "just in case" salvation but if so, it took because for the first time in her life, she is very involved with church. I see the fruits of true salvation. I just want to give Him the glory. He heard my prayers and answered. Ask anything and just believe and it will be given to you (except the winning lottery numbers, lol). She handled this crisis with grace and dignity. I am so grateful to God Almighty!

"And by His stripes we are HEALED!"

Share it, eat it, live it, love it, obey it!  Rejoice in it too!  God bless and Shalom!

10 UNPOPULAR TRUTHS YOUR KIDS NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU

iBelieve.com

I am 100% behind any wife and/or mother who choses to stay at home and be happy in doing so.  I also know that in today's world not only is this unpopular but is, unfortunately, not an easy thing to do.  It usually takes 2 incomes to make ends meet for the vast majority of families, especially before the birdies leave the nest, lol.  It can be done but if you want to work and have quality care for your children, I see nothing wrong with that either.  You can be a Godly wife and mother and work or NOT work.  You and you alone know what is best for your family.  I'm just pro-family and doing whatever is needed to keep them together and raised with values, morals and standards.  We need to empower our kids, be they boys or girls.  It's fine, albeit unpopular, to say no.  This is great advice for everyone and not only is it Biblical but practical as well.  Real time advice and help.  I do thank God daily for giving children to young women though.  Grandchildren are the best...you get to spend all the time you want and then...peace is restored until the next time, lol.  God bless our families.  I do pray this slideshow link works.  Please let me know if it doesn't.  Just click on the link below and it should work.

I pray we all reflect You, Lord Jesus, to our children, spouses and family in friends so that they too might see YOU in us.  Amen!

SHARING A BLOG FOR WOMEN

I came across this blog at a most amazing time as my husband and I were just talking about how I rejected the feminist movement very young after being told I was setting the "women's movement" back 100 years because I chose to be a stay-at-home mom as it would have cost more than I could reasonably earn for daycare for 3 small children.  I can't imagine what it costs today.  However, that was never my reason (though it did contribute some) but I've always been more old-fashioned and traditional.  Even though I was not living the life Christ wanted me to, I still believed His Word was my lifeline and how I should strive to live.  I felt it was my responsibility to raise the children God gave me.  I even raised them in church but it was a very oppressive and very legalistic.  Girls had to take classes on how to be subservient to their husbands.  If you read the warnings by the Apostle Paul on marriage, he is actually much more harsh on the husbands than the wives.  After being told that though, I said "I thought it was about MY choice to choose what was right for me."  I knew then it wasn't about equality (which I am 100% for and it's not unscriptural), especially in the workplace.  However, what about women today like me who do want to stay home because I'd never go back and change the choice I made.  I got to see all of their firsts.  My best friend lived with us and helped out for a long time to which I thank God for but I was home, except for the few times when I'd work a temp job if our budget required it.  So I'm sharing this blog for those who face this choice and decide to be a stay-at-home mom or even, as the feminists would say, "just a housewife," you do have support.  Not every woman bought into that family destroying agenda.  Children need their parents, be it mom or dad to be there and the real truth is, they need both to be strong, courageous and passionately in love with each other but first with our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.  I pray this blog helps.  God bless you all.

QUESTIONS CHRISTIANS ARE ASKED BY GRACE AMBASSADORS

"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.  Having a good conscience: that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.  For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well-doing, than for evildoing."  1st Peter 3:15-17.
