AND IN ALL THINGS GIVE THANKS

I know all have had those days when from the moment you open your eyes until you finally go to bed (and fall asleep), nothing seems to go right.  There's not enough hot water, no milk for your kids' cereal, you're running late and your boss is in a bad mood.  You get to work and find out you wore two different shoes.  And that's the best the day seems to bring.  We all have them and we all love to whine about them but what we should do, we don't.  We never give God thanks for the good and bad things in our life.  Remember that in Romans (8:28) says "for as we know, ALL things work to the good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purposes."

You can't always change your circumstances but you can change your thinking.  If you're late, maybe God caused the delay because otherwise you would have been in a bad car accident.  Maybe you wore two different shoes and made a joke about it because a co-worker was feeling very embarrassed or ashamed of their clothing, perhaps wearing the wrong kind of clothes, but you put her at ease by showing we all are human and make some really stupid mistakes, lol.  We never know how our lives and the way we react to our circumstances will impact another's life.  Whether it is good or bad depends on the choice you make.

Brothers too!

So, especially on those kind of days, do these two things.  Find at least 10 things (and don't use the same ones over and over) that you are truly grateful for that particular day.  After that, think of 10 things you are excited about for the next day.  Maybe you're going out to eat, meeting a friend for lunch or just spending 30 minutes alone reading the Word of God.  I promise you it can change your POV and make a positive impact on others.  We are to be the LIGHT OF THE WORLD AND SALT OF THE EARTH.  Let your light shine!  Don't take everything, especially yourself, so seriously.  This is all temporary.  Show grace, mercy and compassion and go out and find ways to please God.  Faith is an action word too.  Today, I am especially grateful for each and every one of my brothers and sisters in Christ on social media.  God bless and much love in Christ Jesus!

please feel free to share this and anything else I write with my express permission.  I do not need or want recognition.  I spoke the words but they're all in the dictionary so the words aren't mine alone.  God gave us all the ability to communicate!

be always blessed!
