"THE RIGHT-SIDE UP" MINISTRY OF THE GOSPEL
The soul and the spirit are connected, but separable The soul is the essence of humanity’s being; it is who we are. The spirit is the aspect of humanity that can connect with the ONE God. Only in Jesus is there "the Life". But let this be clear: conviction of sin through the Word by the Spirit of God is the antidote for the death (separation from God by sin) of our being (spirit) and that is the KEY to the Gospel and salvation.
Romans 10: 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Titus 2:
11 For the grace of God that brings salvation hath appeared to all men,12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; 14 who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Jesus speaks: "And he said to them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15
Armed With The Sword Of The Spirit
Eph.6:
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 praying always with all prayer and ***supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Romans 10:17
"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. "
THIS IS "THE WAY" TO THE ONLY WAY FOR A SINNER TO BE RIGHT-SIDE UP
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23
"Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures: And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures" 1 Cor.15:3-4
" For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." Mt.26:28 (See also 1 Cor.11:25; 2 Cor.3:6)
" For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified." Hebrews 10:14
" But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him." Romans 5:8-9
" the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
"JESUS IS LORD" (THE HOLY SPIRIT WITNESS IN US)
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved" Romans 10:9-10.
And this salvation is unto Eternal life.
HOW CAN WE KNOW WE ARE SAVED AND SOMEONE WE SHARED THE GOSPEL WITH IS SAVED?
WITHOUT " Christ died for our sins..." Repentance is just an empty word without any attendant convicting ministry of the Holy Spirit that faith from God empowers in the called out believer. Those who profess Christ without conviction of sin will be led to a false belief and not saved.
WHAT IS BIBLE BASED REPENTANCE?
Luke 5:32
" I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
The full biblical definition of repentance is a change of mind of our lack of belief that GOD IS: that JESUS LIVES AND IS LORD GOD AND SAVIOR WHO SHED HIS SINLESS BLOOD ON THE CROSS, DIED FOR OUR SINS , AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD and WE ARE LOST SINNERS UNDER JUDGMENT; that this divine realization results in a change of mind, action and ambitions, in our life.
This begins NOT as a condition we must satisfy by our doing this or not doing that which we did before we were saved,(sinning!) but IS the result of receiving a saving faith (God gives), (Eph.2:8-9) to BELIEVE who Jesus is (Acts 2:36 ) and what He has done and being convicted of our sinful nature by the Holy Spirit and that we are lost sinners bound for Hell, that our walk in Christ, after we believe, exemplifies, as a change in our behavior (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 5:19-23; James 2:14-26), witnessed by our works in faith wrapped in the fruits the Holy Spirit provides through us, (Matt. 3:8; in particular His Love) as proof of repentance. Galatians 5: 22-23
" But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."(Gal.5:22-23) (Shall we continue to practice sin as our way of living? God forbid! Romans 6:1-2)
It is crucially important that we understand repentance is not a work we do to earn salvation. No one can repent and come to God unless God pulls that person to Himself (John 6:44). Acts 11:18 indicates that repentance is something God gives—it is only possible because of His grace through faith God gives.(Eph. 2:8) All of salvation, including repentance and faith, is a result of God drawing us, opening our eyes, and changing our hearts. God's long suffering leads us to REPENTANCE (2 Peter 3:9), as does His kindness (Romans 2:4).
Turning from sin is not the definition of repentance, but it is one of the results of genuine faith-based repentance, AFTER Salvation vests through the Lord Jesus Christ.
