A NEW BEGINNING IN HIS POWER FOR HIS GLORY

Revival is a spiritual reawakening in the life of a believer of our love for God, His holiness, a passion for His Word SO THAT WE search the scriptures for his way and his will, a convicting awareness of personal sin, (1 John 1:5-10) humility, and a desire for repentance and growth in righteousness.

1 John 1:
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

1 John 2:
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

THE HOLY SPIRIT FILLS US AGAIN AFTER SINS FORGIVEN

Revival deepens a believer's faith, opening our eyes to His truths in a new way. It involves a distinct experience of new fillings of the Holy Spirit and a life lived in obedience to God. Revival breaks sins bind in us by our confessions and the seductions of the lost world, and restores greater determination in Holy Spirit power to live in the world but not of the world.

It is initiated by a prompting of the Holy Spirit, creating an awareness of something missing or wrong in our life that can only be righted by God. In turn, we respond from the heart, acknowledging our need. Then, in a powerful way, the Holy Spirit draws back the veil the world has cast over the truth, allowing us to experience anew God's majesty and holiness. Revival brings great humility, great awe of God and His truly amazing grace (Isaiah 6:5). Revival represents a restoration of fellowship with God, though we walked backwards, in sin not confessed, for a time. Rev.2:4-5;10-11, 14-16

Revelation 2:
4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will *remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.(*loss of ministry)
(His saints have His blood tipped ear! Saved BY HIS SHED BLOOD)
7 7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh (if we are HIS we will overcome through Him by the Holy Spirit in us) shall not be hurt of the second death.

The evidence of revival, a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon believers, is changed lives. Great movements toward righteousness, evangelism, and social justice occur. Believers are once again spending time in prayer and reading and obeying God’s Word. Believers begin to powerfully use their spiritual gifts. There is confession of sin and repentance.
