HANDICAPS (Submitted Saints Inspiration) - Shared By: AbaloneKid on Google Plus!

HANDICAPS Submitted Saints Inspiration.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." Psalm 119:105

Handicaps as well as self perceived inadequacies are blessings in disguise, given by God that we, by His faith, in reliance on God and His word, ride the Holy Spirit rains for His Glory.

Numbers 12:3
"Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth."

God gave Moses a colossal responsibility. Moses thought he had a handicap.

Exodus 4:
" 10 And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
11 And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord?
12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

MOSES SUBMITTED TO THE WILL OF GOD

God could use a humble man like Moses to deliver His Words to His people.

His self perceived handicap kept Moses relying on God. Truly, all things, worked together for good.

PAUL SUBMITTED

Take Paul the Apostle: 2 Cor.10:
10 For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

Think about it, did God call Paul to be an Apostle because of his inherent abilities, or because of what God, through weak Paul, could do with His mighty power? Did Paul dwell on his handicaps, or did he work with them, and use his spiritual gifts as well, for Gods service?

And we know his thorn in the flesh was a handicap God ordained:

2 Cor: 12:
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
11 I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing.

JESUS HIMSELF SUBMITTED NOTWITHSTANDING HE WAS GOD IN THE FLESH

May our lives be so submissive to the will of God that we will be unable to do anything but say, "Thy will be done." May our submission to His holy will bind us to separated living, to soul-winning, to consecrated service, to liberal giving, to earnest praying. May our submission to the Father’s will bind us to do His divine purpose and plan for our lives.

Jesus said, "Lo, I come to do thy will." It was the will of God that He should die for sinful mankind. It was the will of God that He should enter into the holy of holies, and there make one sacrifice for sin forever. It was the Father’s will that He should pour out His blood upon Calvary’s hill. Jesus was submissive to the will of God.

EMPOWERED BY GOD BY OUR SUBMISSION

These perceived handicaps are veiled blessings that can inspire SUBMISSION TO GOD, prayer, study of His word, compassion for others, love for lost, courage, fortitude in Him, wisdom to share and these great blessings only God in us by the Spirit can provide. We submit to His will and God wins the moment, the hour, the day and we stand in awe and give God all the Glory. Amazing grace!

Gal.5:
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

JESUS OUR EXAMPLE
Mt.26:

52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

He came as a flesh and blood God man. Not as He was in eternity. And He suffered. God The Son experienced human grief, pain, rejections by family (half brothers and sisters rejected His authority as God & Messiah until He rose); the sting of the death of others (Lazarus as one example).

" For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted." Heb.2:18

" But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled." Acts 3:18

" But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation." Lk.17:25

Hebrews 13:

"11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.

12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate."

" And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought." Mk.9:12

Isaiah 53:

"3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

IN "THE" FAITH, GOD GIVES US WHAT WE NEED

"Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." Mk.9:23

" Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." Joshua 1:9

Ps.121:
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber."

" Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." Ps.55:22

" Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:Rom.15:5

Mt: 11

"28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Rom.8:28

"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (the "day of Jesus Christ" is that moment HE CALLS US UP TO GLORY) Philippians 1:6

CONCLUSION: WE ARE MORE THEN CONQUERORS

Romans 8:

"35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
